Article IV, Section 5, Clause 9 of the French Constitution, I presume?

Whereas in Article V, section, 1 paragraph 2 mandates that anytime a foreigner enters thier country and needs to make use of some sort of public or work or service, said public work or service shall have already gone on strike.

Edited to add: I also think that Italy as the same rule, but it might be Article I :)

Oh yes, there's always that. Lately, though, I suspect the French are playing host-species to some sort of alien parasite bent on global domination. The smoking ban was a definite sign that the pod people are upon us.

As promised, photos from the most recent IAH Beer & Ballpark DO.

And I want my tomacco!

In other news, is the rumor true that the Texans have been replaced by the Silly Nannies? :D

Was supposed to go into work tomorrow. But I just got an automated call that I won't be going into work yet again. And will be updated tomorrow if it will be pushed back due to lack of power and repairs. I wonder if we are going to make up all the days or what.

I'm appalled that you haven't been keeping "current" on eighteenth century political cartoons. ;)

It's a rather obscure piece of political propaganda from ye olde times. I came across it in a history book several years ago, and have always liked that particular engraving. Dunno why, just me I suppose.

The true test of an object's obscurity level is IMO if Dennis Miller can make it work while discussing something remotely unlike the obscure object at hand.

Anyone that can bring up Torquemada in the midst of a Monday Night Football game is either a savant, or gripped in the fervor of a massive cocaine binge.

I just acquired 10 freshly baked authentic German bretzels.

My office smells like a German train station. I hope I don't have to start paying to use the toilet now.
