Glad you're okay and you stood your ground.

Am prepping for my first CR2 experience in about an hour and a half, ELP-IAH.

I received a call at 2am from CenterPoint Energy saying my power was back on, and if it wasn't, to press "2". Of course, I'm asleep when the phone rang (on vibrate) and the power is not back on, there is still a line down across the street from us.

So, we're hanging out with my parents. Fun.

Yay! It's about damn time!

Are you going full-throttle into the CR2 experience by sitting in a window seat with a POS of in the aisle seat next to you? Or are you going the easy way out with an exit row aisle seat and hopefully nobody sitting in the window seat next to you?

Apparently CO has been parking 764s in HNL for over 24 hours!!! Tonight's flight, last night's flight and it appears tomorrow night's flight are all with AC that arrived the previous day from EWR. With that kind of time, they could have continued doing the NGO flights!

I saw them towing one to the hangar across the field last Tuesday when I was out there. I'm guessing that they are in for some maintenance shift or something.

Centerpoint needlessly called you about your power?!?! With my fiance in Midtown, she saw the CP workers working across the street on the transformers and heard them say, "let there be light!" Sure enough, she had power (this was Friday morning). If I was there, you would be welcome to hangout at the house and cool off w/ some A/C (and watch some football, as that is what I would have been doing had I been there).

Burgled

I was burgled at some point in the past week. I have a storage locker in my building and I went in tonight to get some batteries out of a box in there and discovered things slightly amiss. Sure enough, a couple pieces of jewelry that were buried in one of the boxes (yes, stupid, I know) are missing. Very little real cash value but emotionally disturbing to say the least.

Exit Row Aisle, with a normal sized person next to me. All in all, not near as bad as I had feared. Seats were leather, with padded headrests that were tall enough to reach well above my shoulders and support the neck/head. I take it I got one of the "coveted" ex-Indy Air birds? I think I could stomach another flight in one of those, if only to add a CRJ-100 to the FM. Will get to try the CR7 for the first time on my upcoming OKC/SNA run (up front, thankfully).

Definitely sounds like you had an ex-Indy Air bird. Were the seats really dark navy blue (almost black), or more of the standard CO blue? The dark ones are the ex-Comair planes with the really uncomfortable seats.

I've got a CRJ this Friday morning. After a nice spring and summer of mostly ExpressJet to LBB, as of this month it's back to being a mostly Chautauqua route.

For my final full week in suburban Chicago, my good friends at the Westin have put me up in the Presidential Suite. It is awesome, and shows it pays to be nice to the hotel peeps (of course, I've been staying here for 21 months). LOL

I should live like this all the time. ;)

Sweet mother. After two weeks in hotels I'm ready to be home. How do you do it?
