Yes. Dominica is an abysmal, sulphurous blight upon the Caribbean. Oddly, St. Kitts/Nevis to the north and St. Lucia to the south are both lovely.

ALCO, I just clicked on your flickr photos and saw the chicken and gnocchi dish DL served you returning from MXP. Was it as pathetic as it looked in the photo?

I have not yet had the pleasure of St. Lucia - it is on the cruise itinerary that will more than likely end up being the honeymoon.

And I am scheduled to fly out of IAH on Thursday night.

What's the deal with warm nuts served before a meal in J/C? I read a few trip reports (not just CO, but don't hold me to it since I've gotten them all jumbled up) and they seem to give out warm nuts at the start of service. I never had warm nuts, on the ground or in the air.

(Do I have to say to not be pervs and interpret that differently?)

I always :rolleyes: when I'd hear people talking about warm nuts. But, I have to say, it's a little thing that makes them that much better.

I don't pine for them or anything, but when they're served, I consume.

Hmmm....the CO.com weekend specials email just arrived. Somehow a weekend in BOG for $599++ doesn't seem like such a bargain. There are some good ones from EWR this weekend though, including BDA, AVL and most of Florida and the Canadian destinations. This would be an interesting way to start in to my Hawaii runs leaving next Tuesday...

As of Aug. 2006 per Wiki, the population was 71,727. According to the CIA World Factbook for Islands No One Should Voluntarily Visit, "craphole" status can be attained with as few as 10,000 crappy citizens. That makes Dominica a craphole to the seventh power. Sounds about right.
