But I wasn't complaining; the insurance adjusters that are in town assessing the damage from Gustav have been somewhat obnoxious in the lounge on previous nights this week.

I just realized I haven't had a drink. Geesh - what jetlag will do

Well, I decided that I'm just going to be boring and head to PBI this weekend. BTV (with a drive to Montreal) was tempting but I just don't feel like dealing with Canadian border control this week.

I shouldn't complain when there is a beach involved. :)

We have our normal LAX run this weekend to see stepbl. It involves me having a late afternoon at the wine bar (while MR BL takes the kids to a movie) with my sil and then we move on to margaritas at the same Mexican restaurant we go to every Saturday night - once a month ;) - the good news - there is a new wine bar. I'll just say it's tradition.

BD requal alert

There appears to be a fare around that the BDers are jumping on for the next few months. It is OKC-SNA and can be routed thru all kinds of places, DEN, PDX, SEA, and maybe PHX, with many variiatons. I understand that it is near 20K qual miles and the fare is about $425 all in for first class.

Oooh, i just booked one. 11/8-11/9. SNA-SFO-PDX-DEN-OKC-DEN-PDX-SFO-SNA AI $428 and 2404 miles each way.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm going to book another one in a bit. Then off to the airport to trade in vouchers. :D

In other news, I think i may have a problem. Between last night and Tuesday, i'm doing BUR-SFO-PHL-IAH-HNL-IAH-PHL-LAX-SJC-LAX-MCO-LAX-SJC-SFO-SAN. Is it possible this mileage thing is getting out of hand?

I'm out in the quirky turkey all the time. It's not a bad city. If you want to sleep, the Hyatt Place is a sneeze away from the airport and, of course, just renovated.

Downtown is kind of blah. But I found a pretty good brewery and a Pappadeux's off I 25 N of town. You can't miss 'em from the freeway.

PM me if you want more. Also, Santa Fe is beautiful, but kinda far for a quick in and out.

I was able to do OLCI for tomorrow's flights, and the boarding pass doesn't have SSSS on it. So hopefully I'm done with that ridiculous nonsense for a while.

I just tried to do OLCI for my flight tomorrow and of course it did not go through. More SSSS for me tomorrow.

What city pairs were you using in the search? I was trying SNA-PDX/PDX-OKC and vv and failing. Am I correct that the 2404 credits as 7212 to BD (3x for F fare) assuming that I've not hit my 55K number yet for next year? Where are the 20K trips?? Or is that just post-55K?

I even found a $268++ (~300) positioning flight on CO PHL-SNA, where I might get the PHL-EWR Q-200 flight. :D

ETA: I think I found the routing on .bomb. Now to decide if I'm really going to do it or not and if I can find that $150 UA voucher I have lying around...

Didn't that flight back in the day have horrific reliability/on-time problems? I can't wait to see how the new incarnation of it works.

In other news, the ticketing details are posted in the Devils Do thread for those Box regulars that showed interest. The Devils refused me a group block, so I picked a section...let's all coordinate somewhat and try to sit close. Not how I wanted to do it, but I dumbly picked a Ranger game.

Yeah...I think I will route PHL-IAH-SNA//SNA-EWR-PHL and take the prop at the end, after I've finished up my run, or just bail in EWR.
