With my preferences, the last page was 333.

I did the drive from OAK to IAH earlier this year stopping in ONT (due to a dead car), Las Cruces, NM and IAH. That stretch from ELP to SAT was grueling. On the plus side, stopped at a road-side fruit stand in ELP and bought some of the best damned smoked/dried peppers I have ever had.

The locals did provide with some interesting people watching when we stopped there for lunch. :)

baglady I believe it was Jan that I was speaking to the other night. I think she was really confused that I was flying to EWR to fly back to HNL. Then I mentioned I was a FT'er and she said "Oh, you're one of them. There's a few of you that come in here and you guys know everything". Sounds like we're building up a reputation. :D

Anyone flown IAH-SMF recently?

In looking at co.com I'm getting two different numbers for what the EQMs earned are. And I've got a friend who will either make or miss Platinum based on which number is the correct one. Any ideas?? I did check my statements and noticed that the PHL-IAH route is definitely the lower of the two numbers so I'm guessing that is correct, but I'm hoping that it is not.

I was awarded 1,610 base miles for each of my recent IAH-SMF segments.

Indeed, but I have a stopping place in FST where I first made the drive out to SAN, another in JCT, and family in KER (bonus points to anyone who can name two out of those three without looking them up, as I had to) so there will be at least something to break the monotony of I-10.

On the upside, this trip will allow me to drive on section of I-10 from PHX to TUS, which will mean that I have traveled on every mile of I-10 from coast to coast, JAX to LAX. I love airplanes, but the Interstate System is cool too. ^

Shity EWR flight 311 delayed by over an hour still haven't taken off and I'm going to miss connection to CLL. GA came on board saying no hotels at IAH and CO would not provide car service. Total BS as I called and confirmed with Hilton and they are wide open. .

I should have clarified, sorry. I was thinking but not typing that such a profile description would come in most handy in cases of complaints.

If the puck goes into the net and the refs along with the goal judge miss it while a player does not, the player goes to the bench and tells the coaching staff. They can let the league officials that are present at every game know that they want a certain piece of tape reviewed. The team that seeks to benefit from the replay only has until the next drop of the puck to contest anything. Once play resumes, all claims of "Hey, I saw something!" are voided. Incidentally, the NHL has offices in Toronto that watch all the games, and all questionable video review calls are made there and not at the stadium itself. And yes, the ref has the authority to change the game clock.

During the playoffs a few years ago, the Devils scored and no one caught it because the puck flew into the net and bounced back out so fast that no one except the TV crew caught it, and even they weren't sure without a replay. The NHL put out a statement after the game to the effect of "Regrettably a goal was scored. We cannot amend the final game stats." The Devils still won that game, but the uproar would have been considerably larger had the outcome been altered.
