I wasn't too impressed with all the people trying to scam me in BKK. I'll probably go Total American Tourist on the honeymoon and stick to the hotel grounds in HKT, and just enjoy beach-time.

Which hotel did you book in HKT ?

I got a Lagoon Villa at the Sheraton Grande Laguna. Despite the name, I'm fairly certain it's a Luxury Collection property.

Yeah it is Luxury Collection , I have never been to HKT but my friend from work went , his GF is thai , so they went to see her family in BKK then to HTK .
I helped him book their trip and they ended up staying at the Le Meridien because he could get the 5 th night free.

Two or more people are at my desk. More than one of them (let's say two) are talking at the same time...they could be saying the same thing or different things; that is irrelevant for the purposes of our discussion here. What is relevant is whether or not my head rapidly moving from looking at one head to looking at the other will ever be interpreted correctly by anyone as: "I can only listen to one of you at a time, will the other please shut the hell up?" Truth be told, I could probably listen to and mentally process both of them...but the idiocy of two people traveling together who are talking over each other never ceases to amaze me.

Ahh....they grow up so fast. :D

Thank you all! Now, the furniture money is getting spent. Time to clear out the guest bedroom and turn it in to a nursery.

A little cool down. Upper 70s to lower 80s is very nice. The humidity dropping will be the best part.

Uh, I know you are new to Houston and all, but... cooling down into the 70s with low humidity is our equivalent of a blizzard. I'll be breaking out my anorak. :D

I have to be awake again in a little over 5 hours, and yet here I am surfing the Net and cruising FT.

You are hopeless. ;)

Unless you have redeemed yourself by coming up with a good block of hockey tix for 12/12. :)

I was born and raised in south Florida. I have only lived outside of Florida (Philly) for 5+ years. I understand where you come from.:p

Truth be told, I have identified a block. But since you bring it up, one FTer who was on the definite list PMed me to cancel, and no one has bumped the thread to show interest or ask what's going on. :( I would have been stuck with tickets had I proceeded. I am also not in a position to eat tickets.

Having said that, I was hoping that the idea would die quietly. As much as I don't want to back off my idea and be thought of as breaking a promise, I am sadly content in not proceeding.

Apparently there was a ground-stop in IAH this afternoon and it managed to wreak havoc through the entire system.

Sadly this give me 40 minutes to get from Terminal C to Terminal A at EWR and onto my UA flight to ORD. This should be interesting.

baglady you are definitely right about the LAX Pclub ladies. They are amazingly helpful and nice.

photog72 congrats, that's great news!

Let me preface this by saying I'm drunk.

Now having dispensed with the formalities - I thought the Hilton in HKT was amazing. Granted, we were there a few months after the tsunami, so not everything was up to speed.

I also highly recommend at least a couple days at www.ppisland.com

That's all I've got.

I don't know why it took me so long to start watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" :D
