Congratulations. ^

I was supposed to be born 11/4 and decided to stay in until the 16th.

Thanks. Apparently, the induction is because the ob is worried about a stillborn w/ the medication the s/o is on. So, at 38 weeks and a couple of days won't be too bad.

New MacBook Pro.
New Cinema Display.

The SO and I will take all 3. :)

My worry is that my current MBP will not work with the new cinema display because I need mini-DV :(

Best Day of the Year! Unless of course you are turning 35 on that day :) !

Congratulations and just think you will soon have your own scorpio to deal with :)!

I believe the new Mini DisplayPort is different than a mini-DV port so it doesn't look like the new Cinema Display will work with any of the previous generation Macs (a little silly if you ask me).

I agree with sbm12 - the updates were nothing too inspiring. However, the new MBP combined with the docking station type functionality of the new display is a perfect fit for me. I'm getting tired of juggling data between a laptop and a desktop so moving to 1 computer (a laptop that can feel like a desktop when I am home) is tempting.

Morning Box!

Day 2 of my 2 day workweek is today. I'm not back on until Sunday. :D

I'm starting to follow Apple a little bit more, and the mention of mini-DV has me wondering if there's a way I can use my existing Gateway 21" flat panel. It certainly would suck if I couldn't.

They usually sell adapters for the outputs on the laptops. My mom has a MacBook and bought a mini-DV to VGA adapter. I'm sure they'll have a mini-DV to full DVI adapter.

Ahh....they grow up so fast. :D

I saw the new nephew yesterday. Not a lot of personality in them when they're that young. But he now has his domain name registered, so that's a big first step. Next up is convincing my sister that the kids need FF numbers, though that seems to be a losing battle these days. Then again, they don't really travel, so it is their loss.

If you think South Jersey is barren, - my mother just flew into RAP and did Rushmore/ Devil's Tower. Gorgeous scenery, definitely bring the camera. You'll feel at home - lots of Bison. :p

The Festering Pit has been in the mid-80s and incredibly humid. I don't think it dropped below 77 last night (at least, that's what the car thermometer said at 5:30am).

I have but it's been a while. My nanny goes at least once a year because she has friends there. It's not exactly a hot spot ;)
