As if that wasn't a long enough flight in a 737.

Plenty of times on CO #1776 (IAH-PHL), the flight is catered for dinner. It usually leaves anywhere from 7pm to 7:10pm. Even when the flight is scheduled to depart at 7:05pm, there's always dinner (in F and Y).

OK, so I is a kolege graduit. I was something like 25th in a line of 400 people who showed up to walk. Two hours and what felt like several hundred pictures later, back on the road to the fiancee's house after dinner. This is the fuel and sanity stop: soon off to my house and then up again to leave my house for 0900 to be in Manhattan so we can all take a look at the new Holland America ship. Days off, what days off?

I am flying on 348 to SFO and we had to abort our takeoff midroll due to an issue with pressurization. We are now back at the gate with a mechanic on board. Fun fun, I wonder if sfogate is working tonight and having to deal with the other end of this.

Not working tonight. :D This flight terminates at SFO and will be used in the morning. If there is anyone connecting to another flight we would rebook and if needed get them a hotel room for the evening. No big deal on our end.

My problem w/ Sarah Palin (or any politician) at the game, is that political candidates should not be a part of a hockey game, period. Remember this, fans in Philly booed Santa Claus years back. The booing doesn't surprise me.

C'mon CO how long does it take to ticket a reservation!?!? I made it at 7:47pm and it is now 9:24pm. It should not take this long.

OPFlyer Oct 11, 2008 8:36 pm

Is everything alright with Reservations right now? I just got of the phone with a rep and she says CO has 1500 reservations on "hold" right now waiting to ticket. She also said I should expect to wait 2 more hours for it to ticket. I'm sorry but 4 hours to ticket a CO reservation with CO coded flights is absolutely ridiculous.

Was it a reward reservation? Last time I made one, the flights were on DL metal and it took about three hours for the e-mail to come through. But I discovered that the etickets were processed almost immediately. Maybe it just takes some systems a while to sync up.

Edit: Apparently not.

Does it really matter? It'll happen eventually, or it won't and you'll call in. Until it has been a full day I wouldn't care at all.

Congrats again on being a graduate. Is the ship showing a public event or private? I haven't been on a cruise ship in 10ish years and would be interested to see a new one if it is an open event.

This might be due to a scheduled outage for a computer programing load. CO does these uploads on Saturday nights, at about this time.

Yeah, at least I was in the pointy end.

It all ended up fine. Turns out that the primary AC was dead and when it failed, switched to the secondary and triggered the pressurization indicator. (At least that is what was told to us).

Ahhhh, even better. For some reason I thought this planed turned around and went right back to EWR. My bad, I hope you're enjoying your day off.

Thanks - I missed it live. But at least the Devils won.

Philly sports fans are famous for this appellation. Booing for the sake of booing is one thing, but when they cheered Michael Irvin leaving the Vet on a stretcher in a neck brace was when it became sick and twisted.

Thanks, and it's an industry thing, sorry. We can't even do the tour the normal way because when new ships debut, they usually do the equivalent of a press junket down the East Coast. They stop at all the major ports and the local sales reps get to invite agents and guests to an open house. This one is being sandwiched in the middle of a port call of a revenue sailing, and the ship is sold out...ergo we can't see cabins. I would say that it'd be fun to come down and shoot the waterfront, but the foot traffic will be insane because there's three ships in today.

Shhh....

Don't disturb the box during its Sunday afternoon nap time. :p
