DTW - North Terminal

I wonder if CO will be moverd to the new North Terminal at DTW when
they exit ST.
AC and UA operate from there , as well as LH ,which has a temporary lounge and is building a new lounge

I am trying to remain calm at this point.

Gotta love extortion.

This person (cabbie or otherwise) is still in possession of stolen property and he's attempting extortion. And me thinks he's trying to make you a victim of something far worse than a simple European carry-all snatching. A what? A European Carry-all. A what?

A purse!

Contact the Seattle PD.

I just need a stiff drink. I called the Burgulary Dept in Seattle today and apparently they took the report as I stiffed the Cabbie for a fare and gave my bag to him for the fare. OMG NO. I was asked to call back later today as the person I was talking too would talk with the Srgnt and let me know what to do from here.

While SEA is a great city, this experience is making me think twice about ever going back. At the same time I will have a different way to travel the next time I go on a trip.

wow, sorry to hear all of this. And I thought my morning sucked...POTUS came by work but changed the schedule at the last minute so I was stuck in a holding pen from 6am on. I understand securtiy but it was too much. Makes airport screening fun and easy. He is gone now so things can get back to normal and I can finally get a cup of coffee

It refers to the sitting President not just for Bush.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal, Scott. Huge :td:

I have decided upon Saskatoon with NW (IAH-MSP-YXE). I figured: why not just pick a rather obscure city in Canada with a silly name? Also, the Sheraton there looks fairly nice.

Sorry to hear that. I've dealt with similar idiots in law enforcement after my place was broken into.

Keep it in perspective. Don't let a random crime that could have happened anywhere turn you off from returning.

I can't find a single cheap weekend to YXE... :td: From there you can catch some of the Canadian carriers (Transwest Air and Pronto Airways) ;)

It's not exactly cheap ($498), but it's over Thanksgiving weekend, and everything else is unsightly expensive as well, so I figured: "why not?" The bleak climate and nicely furnished Sheraton ought to encourage diligent studying.

Also, FYI - I noticed that the W City Center Chicago is selling rooms for $149/night over Thanksgiving weekend. That's a steal for that hotel (usually $400+ during peak summer season).

I dated a girl that lived in London back in '01 and I found that it was always the cheapest to fly over yonder during US holiday weekends, especially Thanksgiving. Some airlines would even up-gage their aircraft figuring they'd be bringing back a boat load of ex-pats and then they'd have an empty bird going over and would dump seats cheap.

For Thanksgiving of 01 I flew to MAD (she came down from LON) for like $300 from SYR. Compared with paying 600 to fly to SAV to visit the familia. Now that I think about this, we even did that in 02 as well, except the whole family came over and we flew into LGW*.

Of course, those were "different" years in air travel.

*they never met that girl. I wonder how I pulled that off...

I've stayed in amazing hotels over Thanksgiving weekend. Always dirt cheap.

Hmm... that gives me an idea... @:-)
