Here's to the mad Russians at Aeroflot getting it done.

Need a Russian Style to go with those drinks? $0.50 a pack. I'm sure they're tasty. :D

Shameless post padding, I approve! (4 more posts till 1K status).

Do I get a prize when I hit 1K posts?

I will buy you the t-shirt that I saw a college-age guy wearing this morning: it had a giant image of Mr. Pringle with the caption, "Who Wants a Moustache Ride?"

Or something like that.

That's true, and I onl posted that so I could work in the Willy Wonka reference....I love that line.

Once I can find a DO that fits my schedule or potential time off, indeed you will. That first part will prove difficult, but no worries...at some point the Col. will et his bounty.

Wow, I am spending my 1k post on the pluses and minuses of mustache rides. I will not be getting a mustache ride any time soon, fortunately. Thanks for the shirt though, now I can be a true frat guy in my barbri class. (previously I was rocking the khakis and brooks brothers button downs)

Kinda busy today, but just wanted to catch-up with with the box with a few things.

Just got this press request. I'm sure someone in the box can help this reporter out:

**************************
_________________________
1) Please see the following. My deadline is by the end of the day
Friday.

Holli Estridge
Staff Writer
The Eagle
ADDRESS REMOVED

Summary: Regional Airline Carriers
Name: Holli L. Estridge
Title: Reporter
Media Outlet/Publication: Print/The Eagle
Email address: REMOVED
Anonymous: No.
Specific geographic location? Yes
Region: Central Texas; preferably Bryan-College Station (Editor
emphasizes
hyper-local. Texas is okay in a pinch.)
Query: Does anyone know of a way to look up stats on airport
traffic, flight
volumes, ticket price increases (due to spikes in fuel costs) on
short-haul
flights, the size of various carriers' operations across the country?
I'm trying to find if there's an association or if any stats are
collected
by the FAA or any other regulatory agency.
I'm due to talk to a major airline company tomorrow about their
operations
at our small airport tomorrow, but I haven't had much experience
writing
about the airline industry... So I'm not sure what's public and
what isn't
and would like to have a back-up plan in case I get the run around.
I also would like to speak to an economist or other regional expert
who is
up to speed on the industry and could offer some insight into
customer
trends with regard to short-haul flights and whether further
cutbacks may be
in the works.
My deadline is at the end of day tomorrow (Friday, around 6 p.m.).
Feel free
to call me at REMOVED. Please do not
respond
unless you have a source either within the region (Central Texas)
or the
state (if so, Austin and Houston are preferred).
So the poor reporter doesn't get spammed to death, PM me and I'll send over her contact info.

For the t-shirt discussion: I'll give someone $20 to wear this the next time transiting EWR.

And I got bit by the karma bug from my post yesterday. Off to FRA, SAV, and ABQ in the span of 6 days in June. Do you spell jet lag with or without a hyphen?

What time?

Even better than half-day Fridays are no-work Fridays. I'm still sitting on my couch having done nothing all day...
