So, uh, what happens when the lowest common denominator technically becomes the highest? :D

I realized that I was chumming the waters posting that little commentary in the TX heavy CO board.

But it was delightfully amusing to me - and I'm sure at least one or two others. Now if you'll excuse me I'll be worshiping at the alter of John Stewart. :o

I'm pretty liberal myself. Always thought despotic communism was the way to go - as long as you're running the show, and not part of the lumpen proletariat. The Russkies also had some sweet patriotic/military tunes. There's a room in the Spy Museum in D.C. devoted to Soviet Spies that's painted red and has those Russian marching tunes playing over loudspeakers, with black and white footage scrolling across the screens of Red Square Military Parades and Bear Bomber squadrons. Standing in there is like living Red October. :D

AFAIK, I'm the only FTer with FMLN Headbands purchased from El Museo de la Revolución in Perquín, El Salvador. The museum is housed in a doublewide trailer on top of a hill in the jungle. Best not to stray from the path leading to it, as the jungle is still an active minefield.

I like the look of that Air Taxi.

And for barbecue in Houston, I don't think you can beat the ribs at Pizzatola's on Shepherd just south of the Katy Freeway. Had some for lunch today. Yumm.

Without a doubt. I'm glad to be in the company of not only aviation nerds, but camera nerds as well. ^

Here are some shots I took over the weekend.

30D = old
40D = new...and more than that, the 40D has a new image processor and numerous improvements over 30D. If you're not a serious shooter, 30D is fine. But if you're looking to get into photography, I would go 40D.

One significant improvement on the 40D is the dust removal system. Plus right now the 40D has a $200 rebate. I picked one up at B&H for $939 - a steal. For the list of improvements over the 30D, it's a slam dunk at that price.
