Yeah. They Kettle-proofed the program. However, they forgot to Chav-proof it, as Ibis counts for stay credits.

Oh boy Ibis can be hit or miss. One night in London one "lady" was outside screamer had her boy friend, Olie, for about 30 minutes on her mobile trying to convince him that she was in London for business and not to mess around with some guy. The issue became, close the window and not hear it but die of heat (brutal heat wave) or get a warm breeze but listen to it. Another night in Manchester (the one with the space pod bathrooms) I had a nice quite floor but my friends got stuck with the hen and stag party floor trying to combine the individual parties into one big one.

Since cocktails are half-price right now at the aloft happy hour, does that mean I get to have seconds?

How do you need so many bags? I travel with 2. My backpack - all camera gear, laptop, books, toiletries - and a 22" TravelPro that hold clothes. Anything else I am either wearing or I leave at home. More than that is too much, IMO.

+1.

You twisted my arm. sdm1130, you are going to be held responsible if I'm drunk tonight. :D

I'm trying to find a decently priced 20" TravelPro Crew 7. Current ones are a bit expensive but the previous model, Crew 6, have bad reviews because constantly breaking wheels. I wish my old AT would fit in the 737-NG bins. I've beat the crap out of that thing over the years and all I've done to it was hose the mud off the wheels and sprayed WD-40 on them once because they started to squeak.

Just remember that it's financially irresponsible to stop at an odd number.

I'd skip on the blanket, pillow and track suit from your list at a minimum. I will travel with cotton pajama pants and a pair of heavy-duty wool socks and wear those to be comfortable, but then I also use them as pajamas at my destination and as socks for my hiking boots, respectively. An outfit dedicated just for the flights is too much.

I need the extra suit case for the Christmas shopping I will be doing in HKG. I thought this year I would get everyone gifts from my vacation instead of just a gift card or a pots and pan set. For the electronics, I never check those, I always bring my camera, computer gps, whatever with me in my carry-on.

Exactly! I'm getting the company's money's worth here. We may have laid off a massive number of people last week, but I'm spending responsibly here. Two for the price of one. I could have come down here later when it's regular price.

And my happy hour food was half price too! Which is good, because the portions were a little skimpy. $10 for two chicken fingers (which were quite excellent) is a bit steep — but it was happy hour so they only cost $5.

Mmm, the signature drinks here are quite tasty. I may have to try a different one each night this week.

Do tell. I have yet to try to Aloft, but look forward to it.

It sounds like I need to try out an Aloft soon.
