How did you match to S:rolleyes:fitel ?

I have only ever stayed at a Sofitel on three occasions. Two of those stays, I booked a suite to guarantee availability, and the third was a relatively reasonably-priced stay at the Sofitel Florianopolis. I'm guessing the pricey stay in ZQN for the engagement trip was why they comped me to Plat, as I never had Gold status with Privilege (that program's top-tier, and only elite-tier, actually).

No, you don't have to do that to see how Accor treats its Platinums. I'm sure there's a nice Motel 6 up there on 45 somewhere near where you live that's left the light on for you. And odds are you can have it for less than $50/night.

They failed to credit-over my last Sofitel stay around the time of transition. I'm waiting for a manual credit (faxed off the info on Monday). On the plus side, I do have enough points for $180-worth of Accor Vouchers. With the $CAD where it is, that could substantially lessen my cost of staying at the Sofitel Montreal (which is already cheaper than the W).

 (to their mishandling of your last stay credit).

I was a (general - i.e., non-Gold) member of Sofitel Privilege, and Sofitel unsolicitedly offered me a comp to Gold (the second-highest tier) with the inception of AlClub.

Motel 6 isn't a partner with A|Club. Sofitel, Pullman, Gallery, Novotel, Mercure, Suite Hotels, Ibis, all seasons, and accor thalassa only.

Check the back of the certs.

If I'm gone too long, either the nanny or MR BL does the groceries; the nanny does the laundry; Ambien is on autorefill at Target and a quick trip to Specs fills the liquor cabinet - I buy in bulk:)

The new program appears to be better than Privilege. Upgrades for Golds and Plats, and every 2,000 points earns a $60 voucher good at any Accor property.

I like that Accor tends to have decent properties (Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, and a few Mercure properties) in some oddball corners of the planet. Nice to have that option as a leisure traveler.

Not that it matters, as my AlClub status currently is gm due to Sofitel's screw up of the comp.

Oh that sucks. I just assumed that it was, since Accor owns it. Not that you'd want to stay in one, but just in case you ever needed a really cheap mattress run to keep your status…
