On this same flight, we heard "Welcome aboard Continental's golden jet service to Newark this evening" I never heard that one before either

That's the old slogan from the 70's and 80's, when CO had the meatball logo on it's tails.

Also "We move our tails for you" was another slogan from that era.

That's my theory as well - leading to 5:35-6:05AM departures, leading to 3:30 departures from home.:o

Looks like it's going to be a snow day for me. 9-15"

G' Day, Box!

Morning, Box. Time to get a shower and brush off the car. Today had to be the day that I have tons of stuff to do...and of course, I'm up this early and didn't go to bed til after 2.

Just got my 5-day EUA for the return flight from Trinidad on Monday morning. Nothing quite like a $265 first class weekend in the Caribbean.

And three is about an inch or two of snow on the ground here and it is coming down pretty good still. I wonder if I'll go outside today or not.

I just went down to my car, and had to turn around and go back upstairs to change into more snow friendly gear.
I had not looked out my window so I did not know the snow had accumulated .

Sorry about that, I've lost track of who's bringing who

POS is not only one of my fav airport codes, but is also surprisingly far away!

Good morning Box. Snowed here for a bit. I do hope the foot prints I see running across my front sidewalk going from one side of the house to the other is from the meter reader. Time to fire up the snow blower, wait for a phone call about a possible photo shoot Friday, and to do another re-write of my resume and cover letter to send it to someone by the end of the day.

Yeah...2200+ from EWR. Still just over 5cpEQM, but a pretty good deal for a quick trip. Way better at the same price than CUN or SJU. And getting the EUAs this far out is the icing on the cake.

I actually had read online that they have free WiFi, which is nice, though I truly don't plan on spending too much time there. I was considering tagging on a POS-TAB-POS turn to go to Tobago for a couple hours, but the cab fare back to the airport would be more than the airfare to TAB, I think. And I really only have one day down there and don't know that it is worth it to do that rather than just bum around on a beach on Trinidad.

As for the POS code, I love that, and also that the islands are known as TnT. A little AC/DC interpretation has me singing dynamite, and then I end up in Good Times land. Dyn-O-Mite!! :o
