Haha! You and I are both proven innocent on that one.

I hate to say it, but it's good I didn't attend. I got a TON of work done this weekend. Still not caught up, but in far better shape than I was.

Nice! Now, I need to decide between a weekend in DUB, CPH or LIS.

DUB is a whole lot of fun. The Temple Bar area has the Box's name written all over it... and the Guiness factory is there as well. We did DUB as part of our UK-Pub Tour '06, and it was a fitting end to ten days of non-stop beer drinking.

I have a rock-solid alibi regarding any  that may have occurred aboard a 739 at the DO. I can't exactly say that I left Panama in better shape than I found it, though. :D

That really appears to be the case. The alibi is definitely rock-solid since the wire release that floated out into cyberspace indicated that Generalissimo Nutria de las Gallas Grandes had a force that was much superior to (or much more motivated than) the Panamanian military and started a mini-revolution seemingly based on the availability of rum, defeating the locals with apparent ease. This forced the city to come up with all of its rum as some sort of tribute, much of which I imagine was consumed on the spot by the Generalissimo and his co-conspirators.

The news release should be able to be found somewhere so that the Box can ascertain the details of what appeared to be a heroic struggle and the rest of the world can be prepared to repulse similar incursions by that Generalissimo. If he is allowed to run amok, it might lead to a dangerous worldwide freeze-up of rum markets causing various ineffective molasses production stimulus plans that will be completely ineffective in alleviating the problem until another sugarcane crop is given time to grow.

Generalissimo Gringo Nutria de Las Garras Grandes is satiated for now. Once his liver has returned from the ICU, he fully intends to make a play on the beer stockpiles of Baden-Württemberg.

I am amazed that the fares seem to be good in to May - I just found a weekend in MXP for $375 out of EWR.

Does that include the taxes?
