Phew, just catching up on the box for the day. Busy in here! It was great to see again/meet everyone. And despite most evidence to the contrary, ssullivan did make it to IAH last weekend (ran into him in E PC on Friday), even if it was only a charge-by...

Again, I was glad to setup the brunch! Hope to see you all again very soon!

Thanks yet once more for putting it all together, Hartmann. It was a great conclusion to a great weekend.

Too bad I won't be able to make it to the NYC mini-DO this weekend, but I'm sure there will be others in the near future..

In other news - my photos from the DO are up...

BA has lost its mind. $2,050 a/i for IAH-LHR-AMS in WT+ over Easter Weekend. Given the sort of discounted biz fares that are floating around these days, that's just insane. The highest I had ever seen that route before was about $1,450 a/i (when oil was $140/bbl)

Was there anything useful in the exclusive FT sale that BA was offering?

Thanks for posting all the DO pictures, it allows this streak of jealousy I have to go on and on.:D Sounds/looks like a great time.

Just out of curiosity, what does one need to do in order to get mods to notice/remove posts/etc?
I'm starting to wonder if I pissed some people off a bit over in the China forum...
Eh, who cares?;) Plus, it will be great entertainment to see what the resident know it all has to say back...

I grace the place with my presence on average twice a week, if only for an hour or two. Might start happening more often for longer periods if I get a project I want at work.

The China forum is currently unmoderated. That doesn't mean that it is a free-for-all, but it does mean that there are no moderators specifically assigned to it. You can tell by looking at the bottom of the forum index page. On moderated fora there is a list of active users and then moderators next to that. On unmoderated fora you only have active users.

The unmoderated fora are managed by the Senior Moderators, but they are generally pretty busy. If no one RBPs a post, odds are it will never be noticed.

Cool. I figured it might be unmoderated, since it is usually pretty silent in there (except some topics, including specific cities or the best way to book travel arrangements.).
I doubt I was offensive enough to actually get reported or anything.

Franny and I will meet baglady for dinner that evening, location TBD but since she is staying near Times Square, the West Bank Cafe is worthy of consideration. At this writing, another probable attendee is Olton Hall.

I presume that some of the other NYC Box denizens may be interested and might have a venue they would think is preferable.
