Might also be that craptastic Minute Maid cranberry garbage they serve that's like 50% high fructose corn syrup. Don't believe me? Go to the store and compare the ingredients list on one of the cans from CO to a good, no sugar added cranberry juice cocktail. There's a reason that cranberry apple concoction Coca Cola sells the airlines tastes odd.

They had nice cans of Ocean Spray at the hangar event, some of the best stuff there.

Not sure what this weekend will bring, but as of now, count me in.

Maybe vodka behaves differently at altitude like they know wine does.

As one who drinks the vodka relatively unadulterated (maybe tonic, usually a lime, rarely a sprite) I can assure you that it is the same as the stuff on the ground. ;) I agree with the assessment that it is the juice.

Wish they served that on the planes.

That problem being solved lets me change the content of the letter to CO. Tomorrow I'll start drafting the email to Martin Hand re: ACY service.

Talking to him in person didn't help I take it?

What I thought was odd about the Whataburger Jr. I had was the mustard seemed really strong tasting and overpowered everything else. It was way better than McDeath. Toasting of the buns help.

The bacon cheeseburger mustard was strong but good.

And re: Mr. Hand, quite the opposite. He appeared to be interested in what I had to say, but that could very well have been CO executive reticence to endorse crazy ideas brought forth at the Do.

I always order my Whataburger with mayo, no mustard.

I used to be virulently anti-mustard, but like Larry and E+, I'm softening on that stance. The right mustard in small doses on a good burger can indeed do good things to the flavor. I'm also a ketchup and mayo guy, so sometimes all three makes for a different level of fun.

Include him in the party.^ I saw him every few weeks on the Sunday evening flight. He always gets an upgrade (at least when I flew). If you talk to him, tell him Gil said hello. He might not remember me. I told him I was going to move to Houston, and I finally did. No need for flying PHL-IAH R/T anymore. I am envious of you all on the party flight.

When we boarded the flight we said hi to Phil. The look on his face wondering who we were and how we knew his name was priceless. And yes, he was listening to his iPod.

I wish I could make that Mini-Do, as I was looking very forward to meeting the other FT hockey nut and I was for some reason thinking that you would be at IAH.
