CO should pay me a consulting fee for all the guidance and training I have provided to Elite line reps over the past couple of years.

Never thought I would ever say this but....A big ^ to AA tonight. I got an email saying that my flight to Houston for my wedding in June was changed by 3 1/2 hours so I called and asked what my options were. The rep said that I could change my flight with no charge so I agreed to change to an earlier flight and just take the entire day off. She obviously knew that I knew what I was doing (because of my creative routing) and asked my the fiancee's PNR for her one way back up to NYC. After we were done she said I see that your reservation notes this is your wedding weekend, congradulations, I have put you on full Y fare's so that you have a better chance of getting the upgrade with out using your sticker's :D

This was after I spent 45 minutes on the phone arguing with CO about the best fare guarantee I did a month ago and never got the $100 ETC's for. I ended up winning and she admitted she was wrong but it was still

I hear you on this point. It does get tiresome holding their hand, especially with reward reservations.

At least they sort of listen and we can get things done .

CO - A great airline as long as you never have to call in.

They are not always bad. I recently had several very positive experiences with elite line agents booking complex partner itineraries without the need for major hand-holding.

Shhh. There are haters in the rest of the forum who will cry blasphemy at the mere mention of a good experience w/r/t anything to do with CO, and in some cases the thread must be arbitrarily approved to continue and declared a valid subject.

Overall, I have few complaints about CO when I need to call for something. There are some bad eggs, but there always will be in any organization.

Do I have any complaints? Absolutely, but I have pretty much decided that the grass is not always greener. E+ and SWUs at UA are very intriguing to me given my expected long haul travel in the years to come, but that would mean a lot of tiresome connections in ORD. My only real option is NW/DL and I am still undecided if that really would be much different, or at least different enough to make the big jump.

Isn't the entire reason they force us to use a title company is so all the complicated paperwork gets completed in a timely manner? We pay them a fortune to do the work and they're late, incomplete, often just plain wrong and yet they hold themselves not liable.

(Wow, that's a lot of anger I'm not quite sure where it came from.)
