I'm always down for a trip to SAN, but beginning of Sept. doesn't work (will just be returning from Croatia on the 1st).

On the bright side, it looks like I'll be out in SAN for work at least twice in 09. Yahtzee.

I just got an email from a Caribbean search firm about a job in St. Lucia.

That is certainly warmer than New Jersey. Though, you do have those pesky hurricanes to deal with, but you can see them coming. They usually don't explode until after going over that chain of islands.

Harmon Dobson, the late creator of Whataburger (God rest his soul), started up the Whataburger franchise in Corpus Christi in 1950. IIRC, he had a family member stationed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, which also connected him to the NAS at Pensacola. Whataburger thus began spreading in both areas around the same time. I had a roommate in college from Pensacola, who thought it was a local franchise, and was surprised to find out we had them in Texas.

I'm not sure if Mrs. Dobson is still alive, but she used to live on the other end of the block from my aunt who lived in Corpus.

IAH-GCM .com special - $199... Too bad I'm doing AUS-PDX this weekend.

P.S. CO.com is having major issues today.

Is it me, or does the entire forum feel a little different after the Do?

Those Boxers that I took Sat. night pictures of, YHPM.

There's still plenty of  to go around. I don't think we've exhausted the stockpiles.

It would have been hysterical if someone filled out a quiz bowl for Pandy
and he made it to the Night event as one of the 16.

I still say a visual page for Pandy at IAH would've been hilarious.

I think Larry and Jeff's  hedging program budget looks strangely like the catering bills from the Do. While I don't deny that good things come from the events, I can only imagine some of the chaff they run into that needs to be separated from the good wheat feedback.

I thought someone said they were going to do that.
