when you have land you have property taxes, to save money you use the land for agriculture. I just paid more in taxes than some DO attendees made last year, so any tax break I can get is welcome, and I don't even make that much money :( |
In regards to the SAN DO, I would recommend the last weekend of September and then it can be worked in with the SD Film Festival for anyone who may be interested in that. I'm sure i'll be working it like I always do, so i'll at least be in town.

And with the space consolidation, a small public common space could be added for sitting up or stretching your legs. |

What do you guys think about a SAN microbrewery DO sometime on a September or October weekend? We have eight local breweries all of which make some pretty awesome beer. And September/October are both after the peak travel season and the high points of fire season so it could be quite the inexpensive adventure.
Breweries with tours and free beer tastings include: Stone Brewery - also has a restaurant. Karl Strauss - has several restaurants in San Diego County which have cask tapping parties on occasion. Gordon Biersch - hey look another one with a restaurant. Ballast Point Coronado Brewing Company - restaurant! Green Flash Brewing Oggi's Pizza & Beer - all in restaurant form. Port Brewing - warning: may contain restaurants. We also have a couple of chains, BJ's Brewhouse and Rock Bottom but each of them makes their own beer on the restaurant premises. So, anyone thirsty? Labor Day weekend works for me. |
