ugh. the train is running late. no surprise there. I don't think I will make it to B&H in time before they close tonight. I wonder if I can claim trip in vein and have nj transit send me back and refund my ticket

There's no expiration date on NJT tickets.

Please add photog72 +2. Mrs. photog72 and photog72 jr are joining us for brunch. However, considering the jr is only 3 months old, she's not going to be eating what we're eating.

OK, what's is with this Denny's free breakfast thing? Is it really worth standing out in the cold for 90 minutes for a free breakfast worth $6? How much would 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and 2 slices of toast cost to make at home?

The food at Denny's isn't worth being paid to eat.

I only waited for ten minutes around lunchtime, but wow, there were definitely some winners there.

The waitresses in those bright brown polyester pants is what bothers me at Denny's. I could elaborate but I won't.

Sorry - I was off FT for a while.

I'd just take a taxi (you could do Metro North but would be a pain in the arse). I'd plan on $60 and 40 min. door to door. Since this is an interview I wouldn't bother with a shared shuttle.

I work about 10 min. from Hawthorne. PM me if you find yourself stranded.

Thanks for the info. The taxi charged me $160. That's close. Ugghh... Between the snow and stuff here today, it was a mess. But the prospective company got me a car for the trip back. Live and learn, I guess. It will all be billed to them anyway.

I'm "stranded" tonight at the LGA Marriott. It's not all bad. Thanks for the offer though!

We'll have to have a mini-DO at some point then.

Yep.

Well, if some plans at work that are starting to form come to fruition, I may end up working in Houston all the time in a few months. :D

Nope. Most of us have a point and shoot too. I have a Powershot A570IS that I carry everywhere with me. It lives in my computer bag, always ready to go when I need it. For shorter trips, it usually goes with me and the big camera stays at home, because it's easy to slip in a pocket and still takes darn good photos in most settings.

mission accomplished. made it to b&h before they closed and got myself a small camera bag. its just big enough for the body and one lense. just what I need to tote around during the day.
I misread the train schedule and now I'm stuck in Secaucus junction for 45 minutes. and yes belynch secaucus smells.

I just bought something from Amazon for $29.90. Good thing I chose the free super saver shipping because I saved $141.87. I took a screen shot for posterity.
