We can all just ride in the bed of the truck. I see that all the time in S. Fla :p

Yee Haw...I haven't done that since high school. It might be fun.

How will you determine who gets upgraded to the cab from the bed? Don't tell me it will be first person to call shotgun -- that would be soooo WN.

peace,

What that is a downgrade! Bed of the truck is the best place, lots of room to stretch your legs.

I have 12D and tried for 14D but was too slow. Said no to 14E as I won't subject others or myself to my wide a$$ in the middle.

I agree with the sentiment, but in the  spirit of the Penalty Box, I'm compelled to point out that there is no AVOD (er..radio), no pre-assigned seats (er..seats at all), no overhead or underseat storage, etc... It's going to be a very elite heavy route with virtually no front cabin. If you hit wx, competition for the upgrade is going to be fierce.

peace,
~Ben~

Then we discovered a new game to play to CLE....how long would it take for a roll of TP to go from the back galley to the FClass lav, just by flushing the toilet. The suction was fabulous and the TP didn't take more than 10 seconds to make the journey!:D

That sounds like almost as much fun as shaking up a can of beer, popping the top and tossing it down the aisle on climb out.

You know, when I wrote that, I almost wrote, "except for sfogate, she seems like she might be down for it. :D" It is somewhat awesome that my thought is true. ;)

As someone who got married a month ago on his own dime, I am happy to offer paid space available upgrade opportunities. :D

The minivan looks questionable at best right now, but we'll see what I can work out with the Avis agents when I get to IAH. I should be able to take three normal sized people in the truck reguardless. If someone is exceptionally tiny with short legs, I can take a fourth that would sit behind me.

And if someone does actually want to ride in the back of the truck, I'm ok with it. Do keep in mind that it will be about 20 miles at roughly 70mph down 59.

I really don't mind the bed of the truck, but since you and I will be in early, maybe we can find who can get the better free upgrades with avis....I use them extensively. I can make you an employee for a weekend so you can drive if I can get the better car.... :)
