Where is the St. Regis exactly ?
I know where the Ritz is , I went surfing there many times down in Salt Creek right next to the Ritz. |

I'm sure you enjoyed Santa Monica....but, to us Los Angelenos, we avoid Santa Monica like plague. It's like people who live in San Francisco avoid Fisherman's wharf at all cost...
I like it as it is walkable, which doesn't seem to happen much in SoCal. |

If I'm not mistaken, St Regis is like across the street from Ritz, which btw, is also a very nice hotel. I highly recommend the Sunday brunch at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel, epsecially when they have it on the cliffside facing the ocean. Just a warning, it's $75 a pop, but with unlimited bubbly (and I think a free flowing bar? I don't remember :p). There's also (or at least was) a caviar bar as part of the brunch, for those who love that stuff.

Do you use repellant or anything like that when surfing in  infested waters? I prefer to keep out of water with toothy things, unless I've got them at the business end of a Penn International Big Game Reel.

True. Next time, if you havn't already, give Pasadena a try. It's probably the only LA town that I equate to the bay area in terms of walkability. I think you will like it.

Holy cr@p. I'm in the top 10 for most flights on openflights.org. Maybe I need to cut down on the flying a bit.
