Where is the St. Regis exactly ?
I know where the Ritz is , I went surfing there many times down in Salt Creek right next to the Ritz.

If I'm not mistaken, St Regis is like across the street from Ritz, which btw, is also a very nice hotel. I highly recommend the Sunday brunch at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel, epsecially when they have it on the cliffside facing the ocean. Just a warning, it's $75 a pop, but with unlimited bubbly (and I think a free flowing bar? I don't remember :p). There's also (or at least was) a caviar bar as part of the brunch, for those who love that stuff.

:D

I like it as it is walkable, which doesn't seem to happen much in SoCal.

I don't know how true it actually is , but an old surfer once told me they like yellow and shiny stuff , so I listened to him .

Do you use repellant or anything like that when surfing in  infested waters? I prefer to keep out of water with toothy things, unless I've got them at the business end of a Penn International Big Game Reel.

Used to? Why do I have visions of the Significant Otter helping you blow them up in Thailand?

:p

True. Next time, if you havn't already, give Pasadena a try. It's probably the only LA town that I equate to the bay area in terms of walkability. I think you will like it.

Hopefully someone will be looking out for my safety after I've made my way through a bottle of SangSom.

Holy cr@p. I'm in the top 10 for most flights on openflights.org. Maybe I need to cut down on the flying a bit.
