Um, how about a left turn signal folks? While you are at it, try repairing the freeways BEFORE you can see China through the potholes?

I lived in Michigan for a few years and I can safely say that it has some of the worst roads (conditions and layouts) and the worst drivers I have ever encountered in the US.

I did this a LOT in my younger years and learned skills that have helped me many times since, including my years giving track rides.

That is one of the reasons that skid pads are used in teen driving classes as too many people freak out when their car gets off kilter.

And they all feel it is a god given right to drive as fast and crazy as they deem appropriate. It is nuts to have a loaded minivan pass you when you have the cruise set at 80!

True. No complaints there.

I made corrections to your statement above.

How very true, sir. And decidedly funny too.

A dead person only voting once is considered a cop-out.

And isn't it ironic that cars are manufactured there. Our roads suck and we produce crooked politicians and cranberries. What that says, I'm not sure.

I'm wearing the CO shirt I bought at the Do out to the bridal thing tonight. It is tangerine orange. That way if I wander off into the snow, I can be found easily.

If you wander out into the snow tonight you'll freeze solid in no time. You'll be a tangerine orange popsicle.

Fairmont circle by any chance? That was one of my favorites when I worked out that way.

I do the empty parking lot doughnut routine first decent snow every winter. Knocks the cobwebs out of the driver's head. (I had a window sticker once that said, "Rocket powered-monkey navigated") It takes me a while to re-learn not to touch the brakes when things go pear shaped. Takes every ounce of will to press the gas down instead.
With a Scoobie, just mash the gas and point the steering wheel where you need to be.:D

Also a fun one, but this was the one on Chagrin.

Giving it gas helps in most situations, but as one of my pro driver friends likes to say, when it is black ice simply pucker and brace.

Or as a racer friend said, "Sometimes ice has no respect for skill or technique. You're just along for the ride."
Who and where on the track days? Nelson's quagmire?

Except the circles in DC, which have traffic lights. Most of the main avenues offer underpassages to bypass the circles in order to keep traffic from being a complete standstill during rush hour.
