I agree, but I have calmed down tremendously just in recent weeks. I can name a few people (but won't) who perceive themselves as the discussion on FT being their lifeblood and consequently taking it way too seriously.

ETA: link to said thread. Sorry it took so long, but I had to be a good friend to all and make sure that the video was still there. :D

The self-entitlement is getting worse as days go by and that thread was a prime example, very few people take responsibility and sadly that's the society we live in. So, bottom line, don't let those people get under your skin. They will wear you down and yet they never wear down so it's a losing proposition.

The attitudes, self-entitlement, self-importance, and elitism that has nothing to do with airlines on FT used to bother me very much. I've probably acclimated to it somewhat, but I have, as noted above, discovered calm in recent times, and I have done so without the help of substances or religion. I'm still trying to fully embrace this calm and apply it to all facets of life, but I have indeed found it and am learning how to use it.

It was a little hard, but the biggest issues were the small seat pocket on the back of the seat in front, the tray table that had to be turned sideways in order to get anywhere near me, and the small indentation in the center console where they used to have a small place to store stuff.

Nobody likes that seat. I still don't understand why CO bought it for just that aircraft, and nobody from CO has ever really said much about it.

Conjecture: less padding, less weight ... less padding and less weight, less fuel burn. Less fuel burn - getting the most ER out of the 739ER. Passenger comfort not equated in lieu of operational cost reduction.

Yeah -- the only thing good I have to say about it is that it is obviously better than Y and at least there are a lot more seats for upgrades than in older aircrafts.

peace,

When does our new AM world start?

Ok, off the soap box. rolov a mojito please.

Well-said! Some people just don't have a life & can't keep one in perspective!

'That' thread was just getting too entertaining -- esp. the 'zillions' part!!

After I come back from AMS - mid-May-ish. There are still eight open roster slots and CO 1E has not confirmed his spot, to my knowledge.

There are 11 seats open in front of me... If there are that many people who have to get assigned at the airport, I'm praying for an op-up.

My chances for an upgrade on the IAH-EWR 777 are slim to none too, as it's pretty much full.

That sucks. I've never missed an upgrade on a domestic 777 flight, even when I was a Silver. Usually that's a pretty easy upgrade, even on IAH-EWR if it's a 777.

That is because he is still looking into playing Acela Mogul.

And now there are 2 more seats on them so in theory it should be even easier.

Speaking of the eight open spots, if anyone in Teh Box has not indicated an intent and would like to play, please say so at first convenience. Also, if The Box has exhausted its supply of possible players, I'm totally cool with other FTers playing, so long as they are aware that it is an FT-private world and there will be no usual FT Alliance.

Why don't you play and base yourself from SIN?

Fire a peashooter at me, I answer with a howitzer. Proportional response sucks.

Well, some people just need to be demeaned sometimes,,,,,I mean please, the guy was laying into you for defending your "employer" on FT. That conversation got very  very fast,,,,at least the thread's closed now.
