How did the interview go?

I think it went well. Was kind of crazy in that due to the weather, there was almost no one left by the end of the day when I had to do a presentation - but I have a good feeling about things. Will keep you posted!

notabob the AEX airport sounds a lot like HHH. It's a room with 4 doors that they call gates. It's "cute" in the way short-busses are cute. I actually saw them haul luggage with a Radio Flyer once.

I've not been to the AEX airport, but MLU is certainly the most pathetic U.S. airport I have visited. Worldwide, that honor goes to GJA. When I was there in 1999, it was a tin-roofed shack that looked like a bus-stop shelter, adjacent to the gravel strip of a runway.

Great!

If things get serious and you're thinking of relocating to the area let me know. I'm happy to help.

In full disclosure, I hated the idea of moving to the NYC area prior to actually doing it. Once I got over the shock of the cost of everything I actually don't really mind it. I hate the weather, but after living in pseudo Canada for the 5 years prior, this isn't so bad.

The Lower Hudson area is very livable and still gives easy access to the City. I always tell people I live close enough to Manhattan that I can go down and have supper with friends or see a show at a moment's notice, but I don't have to deal with the aggravations of living in the city (noise, smell, taxi's, etc.)

Actually, this wouldn't involve moving. It is consulting, so I can be anywhere, as the clients could be almost anywhere as well.

I lived in NYC for my first job out of grad school - on 34th and 1st Ave. Lived there for 20 month and couldn't wait to move back to Ohio. There's just too much midwest in this boy to live in the big city. But it is a great place to visit, so I'm sure if this job comes through, I'll be here often.

Can someone help me interpret these fare rules?

Code:

Royal Silk Class/ oneway or round trip for daily travel.
Ticketing date 01 October 08 - 31 March 09
Change :    Flight number / travelling date and routing are permitted before ticket expiration.
              name change is not permitted.
Refund :    Refund fee THB500 will be charged for totally unused ticket.
Noshow charge :    Noshow charge 30% of normal full fare.
Ticket validity :    3 months
Child Discount :    Child pays 50% of adult fare.
Miles can be accrued as per normal rules.

Am I correct in assuming that these can be changed with no penalty only for the first 3 months after purchase? After that, I'm guessing I would have to pay the change fee.

That's the way I read it.

I think, that the ticket is only valid for 3 month after purchase. Normally a ticket is valid a year. And you can change your travelling date within the ticket validity.

I was fixin to reply to the 1st Class idiot thread but realized the Box was leaking into other threads a bit too much this morning.

Let's commence discussions about Roger Lodge and  in here so we don't pollute the CO forum.

I have nothing booked on CO. Will I be upgraded?

Morning Box. I'm finally cooling off after getting rid of several metric tons of white stuff from in front of my fiancee's house. The old man next door has some ungodly growth coming out of his backyard pool - which reminds me, I should post pictures of it...no one here will believe it when they see it - and said old man has vowed to not do anything to improve his house, so I threw all the snow in his yard.

"911, what's your "

"Uh, they'z some dudes with pieces looking at me funny. Uh, can you hold while I deal some heroin."

That's what I thought. The change fee is under $20, so in the unlikely event that I need to change/cancel the charges would be minor.

I feel like "validity" is such a misleading word in this case. It's almost like the ticket won't be valid for travel dates beyond 3 months. :)
