Oh wow, maybe they are trying to clean up their act now .

On a different note , I have been to that movie theater down in Boca ^

I'm not sure what terminal G was. Years ago, when flying J31s and J41s, I got to use the gates in the terminal building, that was nice and convenient.

Until this last weekend, any UX flight I took, was on a E70 so they used the C/D gates. It looks like the A gates are new and decent as well. Good thing since UA is likely going to end up using RJs on anything domestic and only have mainline for international flights.:rolleyes:

(In case no one saw, they are expected to grow UX by a few percentage points this year and decrease mainline by a substantial amount).

There's nothing more frustrating than amateur month.

UA's home at JFK is a dump too.

It isn't that bad, i've been to FAR worse. The saving grace is that BA maintains that terminal.

No doubt when their ops were split between the two terminals (years ago), then it was definitely a dump.

I can honestly say that in all the times I've flown PS in C, it's a great experience. I've had the best flight attendants of any airline on those flights, they are always fun, friendly and around.

I think part of the problem with F is that there is only one FA assigned to it. I've heard a few complaints about F on the PS flights, but I have to say, I think C is the way to go.

They recently replaced the personal players so they are no longer the portable DVD players and now just little Archos boxes. Pretty cool honestly. The food has definitely fallen, on my last flight one of the choices was a hamburger, which at least was better than the CO cheeseburger.

I am not sure what kind they have for use on UA p.s., but I have an Archos 605 and I love it. I bring it with me on every flight.

I did not see the exact model but it looks like it was that .
Where did you buy it ?

Well I have another award pending in May and will use them JFK-SFO-SYD. I could not get NZ or one of the good *A carriers. My ticket is in F and I anticipate being surrounded by chattering employees who will get all the service and attention that should rightly be directed toward paying passengers. UA really sucks.

This was not like the POS's that they had last year.

I am sort of kicking myself for letting this one slip on by

I considered it for a moment until I was told the weather was supposed to be crap there.

el Cocotero. It is on 18th street between 7th & 8th Avenues, right across from the post office.

In retrospect the sangria didn't seem to have enough alcohol and it was overpriced. But the food was top notch.

Not I you speak French. Paris is just the New York of France. I would highly recommend the South of lFrance, however.

I speak a passable amount of French. They didn't care. If you want to stay near Paris and the season is right go to Giverney Monet's garden up there is pretty impressive, though it needs to be in season.

I was thinking when I go to London in March, I was going to take the train or a lcc to Paris for the day, but I think I will just skip on that and try ryan air to rome or bcn for the day.

I'd definitely pick Rome, Barcelona or just about any other European city over Paris. You could always try Luxembourg. I had a great overnight there, though the immigration agents at the airport can get testy with you if you're not staying too long.

This is the truth. Try Toulouse where everyone is pretty laid back and the wine is inexpensive and very good or Normandy where everybody still loves Americans.

You can also sneak a peek at the Airbus HQ in TLS. :D

Paris isn't that bad to be honest. First off, you'll hear more English being spoken in Paris that you will in London. The key to not getting annoyed is to avoid all French males. (same applies to French Canadians) They are the worst. Deal with females and males that are obviously not from France because they get treated like dirt by the French men so they treat tourist the way they would like to be treated. Avoid the gypies at all cost.

Best way from London to Paris for a day trip is by Eurostar. If you book in advance from the States you can get some really good fares.

I got it from Sam’s Club last year for about $229. It was in a bundled pack that came with a docking station so you can record off of your tv, but I don’t use that feature, I just use the docking station to charge it. I have found TiVo to go much easier to use and then I convert the files for a portable device, so I am catching up on all my TiVo programs when I Fly. The 605, the one I have has 30GB hard drive, So I have all my music on it, and at least 4 movies on it at all times, you never know when you get the itch to fly somplace...

I saw some 1 GBP fares to DUB from LHR back when I was planning the trip I took to England and Ireland for St. Patrick's Day 2007. The taxes and fees still ran it up to about 50 GBP per person. I then wised up and bought seats on EI out of LHR with a BA return to LGW.

In other news, having spent today at Downtown Disney, my wife took me to the Lego store and she both sugguested and approved the purchase of the super awesome Lego Boeing 787 Dreamliner model. Gaze upon the beauty, ye mighty, and despair. I'm going to have lots of fun this week putting that thing together.

It's official - Vegas is a pit of sin. I should have known I'd hate this place. My curiosity got the best of me this weekend as I decided to make the trip out here. Let me just say, I am glad I only came for one night. Going to see the Hoover Dam this morning was cool and walking the strip last night to see all the lights was fun as well (well, minus the obnoxious drunks). Beyond that, this place is a dump. When the sun came up and I walked the strip again, I realized how disgusting of a place it really is. Anyway, I'm finally at LAS (which is a ghost town!), waiting in the PClub (me and 1 other guy - for CO's sake, I hope it's not always like this) for the redeye back to EWR.

I'm sure I'll return for some sort of a conference/trade show some day, but I'd never come back here for "fun" again.
