Haha! I thought the same when I looked at a few of your Vegas pictures. There was also that picture of the Concorde at the Udvar-Hazy Center... :)

I wasn't thrilled with red rock canyon but that's because it seemed like such a let down compared to my places like Sedona.

IMHO, Valley of Fire state park is a better visit. It is 50 mi NE of the city. My family has been to both of them, and we thought that Valley of Fire was a little more quiet and you got closer to small interesting rock formations, versus the more monolithic mountains of red rock canyon.

Hey, it's free! And since I was staying at the TI, I can show my room keys to stand in front! :D

As for the buffets, I ate at three. Thursday around 8pm at Wynn $34.95. Friday around 9:30p at Monte Carlo $18.95. Saturday 1:30p at MGM Grand $22.95.

The only one I care for is the one at Wynn. But why do I go to the others? Because it's easy and not that expensive, compared to most other casino food. The Monte Carlo one has nothing to write about, though the MGM Grand brunch has plenty of variety. But again, those are just to "feed" myself.

If one wants a real buffet with good food, I suggest going to Wynn or Bellagio.

BTW, at all the buffets I went to, there are no line. Most dining rooms are half empty. And I read that this was supposed to be one of the busiest weekend at LV because of Chinese New Year.

I just received a +5 day upgrade for a Friday afternoon 733 to MSP! ^

I never get upgraded on this flight...

I forgot about the Concord photo. Udvar-Hazy Center is a tough place to take photos in.

I don't have the required photo of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign since they were a couple days shy of opening up the parking lot in front of the new location when I was there.

Udvar-Hazy is definitely a tough place for photos.

I cheated a little with the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. I put my 55-250 lens on and took it from the far end of the parking lot to avoid the crowds in front of the sign. :)

I had fun taking photos in Udvar-Hazy. It is almost impossible to get a shot of one plane without another in the background, but there are some good shots to be had there.

A few days after I took these photos at the Udvar-Hazy Center, I grabbed a copy of PC Photo at Union Station because they had a review of my camera (10 months after I bought it:rolleyes:) but they had an article about shooting with Nikon VR lenses and their test location was the Udvar-Hazy Center.

For all of you aerogeeks, dont forget that NatGeo TV is running their new specials on Air Force 1 and Marine 1 this evening, starting at 20:00 Eastern.

I like like the Wynn and Bellagio buffet. Both are not bad, but a little pricey. I did enjoy the spice market buffet in PH, but the last time I was there it was the old hotel, not the PH.

The first 20 minutes is a replay of 9/11 and not really much at all to do with Air Force 1 or anything "special" about it, other than that there is not the capability to produce a live television broadcast from the plane. :( :td:

OK...the comment that the F-16 pilot asked them to slow down was funny.

I really enjoyed taking the night shots in LAS. I am not really sure what I am doing , but I think I took some shots that are not so bad.

I wanted to take some shots from the top of the Stratosphere, but they do not allow tripods up there. :td:

But the quote from her rep was somewhat irksome no matter what part of the spectrum you call home: "We believe it is inappropriate to use young, private citizens for marketing purposes." - so if that's true, no kids should be used to market, well, anything...and by her line of reasoning, that includes kids' products. I guess you could switch out the kid on the oatmeal box with the old man in the nursing home.

I started a thread on Omni/PR about it. I think they probably should have gone to TY first before releasing statements. That being said; TY has named several other dolls after famous people, so I'm not sure how far this is going to go. I asked MR BL if these were actually for sale yet and he said he didn't think so, but then heard there were retailers that had these. It may be build up for publicity for the upcoming Toy Fair (mid Feb), just mho.
