Nah, the Otter isn't desperate. You'll know he's desperate for domestic travel destinations when he starts trying to copy some of the more absurd lines on my FlightMemory map, particularly those within New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Heh, the Significant Otter thought that my TravelBank balance would be employed for such mundane flights as IAH-MLU once we're married. Cute.
He still doesn't quite grasp the concept of airline alliances, to the point that I've explained about three times now why and how our UA flights recently were credited to his existing US account, rather than him opening another frequent flier account with UA. The whole concept of having 15,000 miles in one account versus 10,000 miles in one and 5,000 in the other confuses the poor guy. Unfortunately he's the king of orphan miles; he's got multiple accounts with less than 10,000 miles in them, and in some cases, where if he had understood how alliances work, he could have just a couple of accounts with usable balances. At least we're now able to consolidate his DL and NW accounts into one, making those 2,500 NW miles more useful. But then there's his CO account, opened for a flight he bought on CO last year, that could have easily been credited to his DL account — and had he done that, he would have had enough DL MQMs to have Silver status with DL this year. As a result of all that I have a document on my computer with all of his loyalty account numbers and passwords, and have been put in charge of figuring out how to manage it all. |

Can't be in the back seat of a car, feels 100,000-ton cruise ships moving when they are tied up in port, doesn't finish one full cocktail, and thinks that two days on Pacific time will wreck her for a week. She actually said "I don't know how I'm going to respond the next day when we're home." Um, WHAT????????
She ended up completely passed out on a row of chairs in the gate area about two hours before our red eye was scheduled to depart. She now understands why I am tired after getting home from a multi-transcon MR. :) |

I'm actually interested in doing some of Big Sky Airlines' more obscure Montana/Idaho routes.
However, Great Lakes did take over most of their routes, and is flying their little Beech 1900s all over Montana out of BIL now. |

My other half doesn't even understand what "TravelBank" means. I've tried to explain it but he's like "You're in charge of that stuff." Fortunately he does get the concept of a VDB, and he was quick to tell me that it was fine to get home two hours late last Friday evening to get the $400 Delta was offering me.

We too have a shared document with all of the passwords and such, but ours thankfully is much easier. We're both, for the moment, only CO and HH whores. |
