No problem. If the rules had allowed it, it would have been yours for the taking.

Guess that baby's going to expire now. I started to use it to fly UA LAX-IAH next month, but the lure of a nonstop 753 with 150% EQMs, and an instant upgrade, won out over a crazy UA routing that took all day and would have mostly been in E+ (but it would have yielded a few new FM lines).

I prefer BD. It's just asking to be abused.

I'm disappointed in you. :p

Do screenshots embed something that proves when you took the screenshot? I've never had to do this for business reasons, but could imagine it coming in handy for some personal applications.

What I've done is do a pdf print of the page and that puts a date stamp and web page address on the bottom of the page for that purpose.

That's why, for as much I can't stand the UA Forum for its collective attitude and complete lack of anything approaching a personality, I have to give them credit. There are some regulars in there have M+ down to a science and there's a select few posters who get it right all the time. M+ mastery is probably akin in difficulty to a master black belt in Six Sigma or becoming a scratch golfer.

That's part of why I didn't dare post this offer in the UA forum. Within 30 seconds I would have had 10 responses, all telling me the same thing BlissWorld did. However, unlike BlissWorld's reply, 75% of them probably would have been rather derogatory and had the tone of "We know you're just a lowly UA Premiere, but even a Premiere should have known that ." And the thing I've noticed in that forum is that once one person has answered the question in a case like this, the other's can't help themselves. They have to jump on board too and say the same thing. I learned that lesson in there once, and never again. I try to avoid posting in there as much as possible.

Is the consensus on BD that everyone will burn what they have to avoid said miles becoming Luftwaffe miles?

It was hard to resist the LAX-SFO-DEN-ORD-IAH routing that involved a 777 and 763 and three new lines. But that also involved leaving at a ridiculously early hour on Monday morning, and getting to IAH around 10:00 PM, which would then be followed by having to drive up to Huntsville, TX. I opted for convenience, CO EQMs, Mileathon points, a guaranteed upgrade, dinner with friends in Houston, and reasonable departure and arrival times in this case.

I export the few screenshots I have taken to Paint. I guess I could do it the jury-rigged way...open the time/date window. :D

It's very easy to edit .pdf files.

Agree 1,000,000%. The only worthy UA thread is Ask the Pilot. The one point of contention I have with the above is your conservative estimate of only 75% derogatory replies. I would have gone with about 90%.

ETA: Our very own CO Forum used to have a tinge of that. It smells so much better in here since that tinge was removed.

99% of the people out in the general public don't know that. ;)

It's easy to edit almost any file these days, but now that I think about it, I like my way. It tells the viewer exactly when I saw a given thing, and that could come in very handy.

You can Photoshop a screen shot just as easy.

Unless they've been locked. I've encountered a few recently that have been locked and password protected. That makes it quite a bit harder.

Nothing is perfect. Do not fly Q400's. Do not leave your house, as you may get hit by a bus.

(When did I turn into Thomas Hobbes? I'm not exactly sure myself.)
