I have a completly non :rolleyes: question - why does anybody rely on the plane having AV that works?

I never get on a plane without my portable DVD/iPod player. I don't have to worry about the AVOD not working, the AVOD not having anything I want to see, the airline having an equipment change and not having any AV, the wrong movie getting played, they have last month's movie that I've seen 4 times already, they just show some random awful movie or it's a Madea retrospective.

My movies, my TV shows, my music. It always works and it's easy to carry.

The only thing I've seen that is off so far is the sky high cost of renting gates.

I heard CO was showing a Madea retrospective on our flights both to/from PVG; you sure you want to take the DVD player and ipod? ;)

I remember when UA did Julia Roberts month for like four months (not exaggerating) and I had at least 8 int'l flights during that time. I like Notting Hill, but seeing it so many times, I was getting tired of it, let alone some of the other movies of hers I didn't like as well.

His wallet was worse than the bulging one in the photo and when he hurt his back his dr. said GET RID OF THE WALLET! And he complains about my purse? :rolleyes:

I actually watched Stallone's "Driven" on an aircraft (whatever the name of the movie was, he was supp:rolleyes:sed t:rolleyes: be an F-1 driver) :rolleyes:

How dare you be unAmerican and plan properly.;) I've been dragging Walkman, Discman and iPods on planes for years to provide my own entertainment. Mainly because I've rarely had any entertainment on flights, well outside of watching people try to get into the lav.

On DL, I've been able to fairly reliably count on TCVs lately because the AVOD's not going to work :rolleyes:
