My favorite still is the "real" Dr. Pepper, made with cane sugar, which I used to occasionally indulge in after I discovered it was available in Houston at Central Market. The stuff is expensive, and only comes in small bottles, but wow, is it good. |

I had one of a similar feeling that went horribly awry. I was sore for days afterward. Very, very bad.
The TK crash photos are crazy scary. Hard to believe that people walked away. How long until we hear people saying that those aircraft are inherently unsafe?? ;)

I'm never flying a 738 again. There are obviously structural problems in every 738 that has ever been built. Far too risky...

Plus, they run out of gas if you don't put enough in or fly too long.

I also keep a separate accounting of ineligible when evaluating how well the program works for me personally.
After all, if they only run RJs or Qs on routes that I need to fly, then that obviously diminishes the value of status. Sitting in coach because there is no F is the same as sitting in coach and not getting an EUA.

I think I'm scheduled to fly on 4 of them next weekend. ;)
I am going to switch all of my flying to US - those A319/320/321s are so much more reliable.

Oh definitely. I can easily go months flying CO every week and without stepping on a 738. They very rarely appear here at ATL, and other cities that are loaded up with 735s.

I'm going to have to remember to stop and buy some in a few weeks when I do my cross country drive. Is that against the Box's code of conduct? (Driving instead of flying).
I will be around randomly if your nearby we could have a microDO and go out to eat or something.... There is a winery just down the road as well. They are open for tours on Friday/Sat and I've been meaning to make it by there. |

But you're also known to be the box's resident RJ whore. :) A 735 must be like a widebody to you. :)

How will they ever know where you live if all you give them is a credit card? If they ask for your address just tell them they can't have it. I hate Best Buy.

Morning Box
Woke up this morning all excited for a long anticipated once in a blue moon 4 day ski trip out west. Bags are packed, BPs printed, upgrade list checked. So what do I do? Throw out my back while putting the ski bag in the car.

Or.. a Dublin Dr. Pepper meet. I could go crazy in their store. Don't they change the name of the town to Dr. Pepper, Texas in June or something?
Nearest airport....I guess technically now DFW. I fly out of GRK or AUS, ABI used to be the best bet but no CO there now :( They've been trying to change the name for the last 10 years, they got denied last your for copyright reasons or something like that... |
