Costco in California has Mexican Coca Cola. In the NYC area you have to wait until Passover to get Coca Cola made with real sugar.

BevMo carries them as well, though sometimes you have to order ahead.

My longest train ride was WAS-BOS (and return, twice) on the regular Amtrak Regional. Pretty .

Morning Box

Woke up this morning all excited for a long anticipated once in a blue moon 4 day ski trip out west. Bags are packed, BPs printed, upgrade list checked.

So what do I do? Throw out my back while putting the ski bag in the car.

Ouch. Hopefully you've got some meds that will get you through the flight and loosen you back up for skiing upon arrival.

I've done that trip twice. It sucked both times.

My new Kindle v2 just arrived. I spent the past hour playing with it and then writing a quick review. So far, I'm a fan, though it is not particularly revolutionary relative to the K1.

Does anyone know whether the standard US-Europe J reward on KL for 80k OnePass miles still exists? co.com is ambiguous.

It was awful , I did it once to go down to school and then never again , after that I just drove back and forth for winter and summer breaks.

Hmm, I've never known about this, though I rarely burn miles for Europe.

Out of curiosity, does it have to be all KL flights or could one take the NW EWR-AMS flight?

IIRC, all KL, and to AMS only (no connections).

Are you sure about the no connections part? I thought you could book an onward KL connection elsewhere in Europe.

I guess there's only one way to find out.

Ok, who keeps  FT?

My longest train trip has been Princeton Junction to NYP to Niagara Falls, NY. back in September. (yes people do take the 5:20 AM express train) As someone else was paying for the trip and it cost lest than driving. I did it as an experiment to see if I could stand being in a train that long so I could decided if I should do the western US rail trip I've always wanted. It's a good thing I had booked B6 for the return trip just in case. No western rail trip for me.

channa's the authority on this but I think as long as you take KL over the water the award should price out at 40k each way. It does not matter who you take to connect to/from your international gateways (e.g. SEA-AS-SFO-KL-AMS-AF-CDG-AZ-FCO should work at 40k) -- also I think DL BE is only 45k each way and despite what C:rolleyes: thinks, is on par with BF (if not better.)
