just a quick note on that, if you build a platform so the wood is not in direct contact and use an air blaster to keep the leaves from building up under it(and bark...) it will help keep less snakes there. They don't like it being elevated, rats/mice don't get into it that way as well, so double bonus.

Good to know. I may have to do that if I have a weekend in Houston before it gets too hot to be building platforms outside.

No need for that.

what about planning a nice cookout with real foods?

If I am driving I can certainly bring something more than my College FB DO carryon grill :D
with the right amount of time planning we can even have some nice ceviche(colpuck sorry it didn't finish before the game!) and it would of course be gulf shrimp and not denver frozen shrimp co shrimp :)

Sounds good to me.

I've got an older model of this. If we have a sizable group headed to CRP, I could just rent a trailer and haul it down for the weekend. Brisket, Pork Tenderloin, Standing Pork Rib Roasts, Beer-can chickens. The possibilities are endless, and tasty.

No need to rent a trailer, as an elite you can check as much as you like. Put the meat in the overhead bin!

You mean you actually stay in Houston sometimes? :)

I've managed to avoid spending a weekend here since November 1, 2008. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be spending the weekend of April 4 here. :(

It is series 6, but I am not sure of the sub-series (if there is any). Series 6A definitely is DL at 90k.

I believe it is a Series BS6 only valid on AF + KL on the transatlantic segmento  segment could be on any carrier .

I have to go to birmingham to get whataburger. That drive however is looking better and better all the time.

I think he means for the smoker :)

I can source some nice meats. Anywhere. Just give me a budget, $2 to 100 a lb :)

Sounds good. We'll have plenty of time to plan it out. I think I need to figure out first where we can park and fire up the pit legally. I wonder if the V Boutique Hotel would let us use their parking lot if we've booked the entire Hotel. :D

Guess I need to check the CRP City Ordinances, as well.

I do not know.

Not that it matters, considering DL lowest-tier awards are harder to find than 2x NH F Awards.

Mustang Island State Park? As long as we get more rain in the next few months, it should not be a problem to fire up the smoker.

Yes you can. The flights for your party were 90k and I have CO domestic F on the reservation.

I've seen some of the chain suite hotels offer a grill in the pool area(candlewood and springhill, and even a hyatt summerfield)

These were in city markets, I think as long as you have an enclosed flame cities (in texas) won't care.

BTW I am single but I'd be game for a queen room at the V Boutique.

When are yall in SEA again? (hope I haven't asked that guestion before )

I come in from BWI via IAH on 3/5, and I leave in the morning on 3/8 to EWR. On the layover in IAH, belynch and I should be getting together at some point, since he's on his way home from ABQ, IIRC.

Sounds like there are a lot of us going through IAH and SEA that weekend.

I'll be in IAH on Friday evening (3/6), Saturday morning, Saturday evening (3/7) and Sunday morning (3/8). I'll be in SEA on Friday evening (3/6) and Saturday evening (3/7). I'll also be in BWI and EWR at various points during the weekend.

That sounds very promising. A day of beach-fishing, beer and BBQ sounds like a winner. Thankfully, Modelo Especial is available in cans, so can be brought to the beach.
