This would likely be my first Whataburger experience. ^

With any luck, they'll still be offering the A1 Thick N' Hearty burger by then. They sometimes discontinue it during summer months. My theory is that it the combination of so much grease and deliciousness can cause sudden cardiac arrest when mixed with high temperatures. :D

Hmm - sounds like I should pay a visit to a cardiologist before coming down.

You sure you aren't at a condo in Miami? This is common there, no notice wter off for 'emergency repairs' every couple weeks.

No, but we are in a condo in Atlanta.

So, one could do EWR/DTW/MSP/MEM-AMS on NW if the destination is AMS.

Neat, i may have to try to book me one of those.

The overwater segments still have to be on KL, though, so you couldn't use NW from any of those gateways to AMS.

The DVD's look pretty good, not HD, but better than before, but if I'm comparing it to the HD TV that I get it's good enough for now (i.e. until the Br players are $100 or less and content doesn't cost more than regular DVD).

It depends on the BR disk. If it was released as both a DVD and BR the quality is noticable to me but I'm picky about such things. BR's using HDMI cables also makes a difference. If the DVD was orginally released before BR or HDDVD came around, there isn't much difference if the TV does the upconvert as I suspect the master wasn't produced with BR in mind. For things like animatation I can barely tell any difference. If you don't have a TV that runs on 1080p and 24fps (film frame rate) most people won't notice. It's more the TV than the player.

what about planning a nice cookout with real foods?

If I am driving I can certainly bring something more than my College FB DO carryon grill :D
with the right amount of time planning we can even have some nice ceviche(colpuck sorry it didn't finish before the game!) and it would of course be gulf shrimp and not denver frozen shrimp co shrimp :)

and I was looking at that pic going, this is thick and hearty? Has anyone ever eaten a real burger? :D

cooking is a passion of mine, and sharing fresh foods is the next, so should anyone want to have a cookout, I can be prepared!

We could do a Sunday lunch out on Mustang Island.

I'm allergic to shrimp, so I'd be bringing Whataburger ;)

don't have to bring whataburger, I can cook a mean burger, or a bacon cheese stuffed burger, or anything of the like ;)

I don't think I can actually get a smoker there, but I could smoke a brisket about 200 miles up the road and bring it down and reheat that on sunday....

I was amazed how good the Blu Ray of Sleeping Beauty looked. It was not made with BR in mind (or HDTV for that matter), but was really gorgeous. Wall-E, which I'm guessing was made with Blu Ray in mind, was again amazing in BR. I very much like when the package Blu Ray with the regular disk and digital copy as that's generally the only way I'll buy a kids movie on BR.
