You are so right. Last time I saw him he was a hunky football player with nice dark hair. He currently is pudgy, wears glasses and has a white beard. Yuck. That fantasy is totally gone now. :D

My old boyfriend drove a '67 Firebird. It was red, of course and every cop knew him. No wonder he and his car drove my parents nuts.

I am looking at getting a tesla roadster next year when my current clunker is paid off(85k miles on it been reliable, and going to keep it!), I will let the local police take it for a spin :D then I won't get pulled over to look at it.
It will be 2011 or 2012 before I can get the car however...

I had a '67 Firebird which was bright yellow and did attract its share of attention. It could go like h*ll.

In those days we went everywhere at 100 mph and if you were from State X and got nailed in State Y, all you did was mail in the fine with a pleading of nolo contendere and go on your way. No points, no insurance nonsense, no nothing.

I'd be looking for 8+ exact segments - mostly on UA. Sometimes UA's site doesn't show the extra segments if you enter every other city.

Why on earth would you pay over 100k for a car?

:D

Why would anyone spend 36k on a car to trade it in and lose money in a couple years?

when I buy a car I am not looking at turning it over for a profits, it's a losing deal all around. Might as well buy a good car and go with it for the long term. that being said I may just get another car, they are working on a 45k sedan as well, that would be nice.

With the state of the technology on batteries today, IMO there will be no long term with that car. They claim 100k miles or five years but the battery performance will seriously degrade well before those yardsticks and a battery of the type they use might cost as much as $10G to replace.

I bought a bad car yet ascribe to the long term philosophy. Let's just say I spent $7,100 when it was new.

Sorry, I'm not following your logic at all...

If you spend less up front, you lose less in the end. Spending 100k on a Tesla Roadster doesn't mean it will last longer than a 36k (or less) car. In fact, chances are the batteries on the Tesla would fail much earlier than a normal car with a gas engine.

I need to find out what happen two houses away. There are two ambulances and two police cars outside of it right now.
