There's no need to restrain yourself. We have the "others" outnumbered here. :D

A strange game.
The only winning move is
not to play.

How about a nice game of chess?

Chris Cooper played a great D-bag of a father in that movie. Because I don't really jive with my father on any level, I found that movie to be impossible to watch after seeing it once. I had anger issues after watching it. The fact that the father all of a sudden became a supportive dad (note the difference of use in "father" and "dad") when his son started to get famous basically gave me a rage attack.

In other news, I'm finally going to give up and join Twitter. My about-face is motivated primarily by the fact that I might start selling photos.

Actually, I'm not sure it will make much of a difference. Tmo's EDGE speeds can get up to 180K, the iphone 3g is capped at 240-260K to conserve battery life.

The ATT 3G network is so hammered that you can't get any decent speeds out of it, my 3g card has become almost worthless at this point. So, in reality, with the burden on ATTs network, the EDGE speeds are likely to be very close to the 3G speeds from a user perspective.

Plus, the extra fee ATT charges isn't worth the psuedo-3g. The iPhone isn't true 3g as they speed capped it to control both battery consumption and load on the network.

I thought that wasn't going to be available until later this year?

Happy St. Patty's Day Box!

Stoked to be taking my second revenue flight of the year in about 36hrs. IAH-SLC upgrade cleared at the Plat window, but still waiting for LGA-IAH. I'll offer up a Guinness or 2 to the upgrade gods tonight.

Opinions needed:
The boy has caught the miles&points bug (or is just appeasing me...whatever...) He's flying DL to SLC and we're returning UA. He doesn't travel a whole lot (yet ;) ) so we're looking more at long term mileage accumulation rather than earning status. I see 2 options:
1) earn on DL for skyteam and UA (or bmi??) for *A. Do nothing when CO switches alliances

2) throw everything on CO. Sign up for UA (or bmi?) but stop earning on them once CO switches.

Their WiMax deployment is out there and working OK, but I haven't heard anything about the 4 additional cities since the initial announcement. Or were you thinking of something else?

Personally, it would frustrate me to no end - like my situation with DL and NW last year - to have status miles on two different programs in the same alliance (although CO going to *A won't be instantaneous). In the case of CO and UA, there's no near-term hope of combining the accounts.
