Is it Thursday yet? :(

The snow on Thursday morning should pass through very quickly so I don't think that will be a major problem. The bigger problem for EWR will be the winds.

How About This For a New Line...

Cryanair may be providing schedule charter service to the Toronto area, errr, Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG), this summer. Ask yourself, is a new line really worth that pain?

Low of 29 forecast for my part of H-Town this evening.

The Significant Otter should have prescription writing privileges by then... that might just make it bearable.

 Yikes! Don't they have like a 29" or 30" pitch?

I actually think this service is viable.

You mean a new line on an electronic map just isn't worth torturing yourself for seven hours? :D

If choosing between the Mercedes Museum and the Porsche Museum, which would you choose? The Mercedes Museum tour is supposed to be fantastic, by all accounts, with a storied history and tons of stuff to look at. The Porsche Museum opens at the end of January, and is, well, Porsche...

Me neither. But, in recent wedding-related discussion, EYW came up high on the mini-moon list. ^^ I would really like to get two new lines and dots out of that adventure - like by picking up the EYW flight at a Florida airport that I haven't yet been to.

I flew Kiwi quite a few times. I used them every week commuting from EWR-ATL. They had an amazing set of employees.

Indeed they did - it was sad to see the airline go out the way it did. Their sales office was very good to my mother the first time around.

Winter of '87 was crazy. We had a recorded low temperature of 9. Snow and ice stayed on the ground for about three days. It was essentially Armageddon in Houston.

I too think there is a solid business case to provide ultra LCC service across the Atlantic, even with a scheduled one stop for fuel. Both Ryanair and Eazyjet have been implementing medium haul flights throughout Europe and North Africa, so they should be able to make something work across the Atlantic. The thought makes us aerogeeks shudder, but 95% of the traveling public look at price when it comes to leisure travel. If CO was offering $800 return from Cleveland to London, I am positive there would be a LOT of people willing to drive to ERI or YNG to catch a flight to DUB or STN for $500.

Are you fixin to be down there? I'm flying down Monday a.m. on the DL shuttle and returning Tues. morning (assuming I can get to DCA).

I'm planning on taking the train down Monday pm and back Tuesday PM. Getting to DCA should be easy on Tuesday if you start downtown where tens of thousands are getting off the train. Otherwise, good luck. I predict I'll have problems getting onto trains in Crystal City Tuesday AM as they'll all be packed already.
