The real question is, will DL/NW.

And I would join the over-populated DL Plat group even earlier?

MSY-LAS nonstop. That has got to be one of the most  domestic routes out there. Connecting two centers of sin and debauchery. :D

I thought of forming an Allegiance Air-type airline - this was one of my potential non-stop routes. It was going to be a lot like National Airlines (1999-2002 version) except profitable.

Heh. Nothing says classy like a velour track-suit 1/4 unzipped at the top.

I was on a flight from D.C. to STL once and there was a couple across the aisle on a Super-80 with matching velour. The male had these huge black plastic eyeglasses with fake silver bling on the sides. I was 100% confident we were catching the same connection to LAS.

Then again, I paid more to fly WN this week as I did not want to bother with US Scareways.

You'll have a lot of opportunities to fly US when CO joins *A.

Not that you'll take any of those opportunities, but ...

In many ways it is indeed a LAS issue, yet do not forget than WN has the Kettles programmed to think they are always cheapest. Always.

I have to say, it's a nice illusion. Certainly out of ALB they're no great bargain for where I seem to fly. I've used them on the east coast a couple of times when I knew my travel days had a good chance of changing(and they did). Their lack of a change fee was the big positive there.

Definitely a significant chance of encountering that, plus bowling jackets and other assorted goodies, on a LAS-CLE flight.

Plus a ton of muffin tops, cheap sunglasses, mullets, old concert Ts and jelly rolls.

I have had many rows of F to myself this year, especially on BWI-IAH.

I even had a DCA-IAH flight (for the DO) with only six seats occupied in F.

In other news, a parade of elephants just marched past my office. Apparently, the circus has just arrived.

WN selectively serves a nice niche for me. Usually it is just to MDW, but in this case I enjoyed the flexible ticket in event my flight from IAH to SNA is delayed. Plus, the US flights were packed and I had zero need to sit in a middle seat. Ain't no way.

You are supposed to take the green pills with food.

And coach is almost sold out on the 753, so it should be quite the show.

The elephants do the same thing here in Cleveland as they arrive by train on the lakefront. I almost swore off of booze when I saw it for the first time.

Also of note: *W just launched a worldwide half off sale.

Seems like everyone's desperate for cash.

I haven't been able to find anything actually half though. Unless it's half off rack. Rates are coming up as the same as I already have reservations for.

And speaking of *W, any comments on the value of a $40 upgrade to Executive Club room at Westin Times Square so I can get lounge access for 3 of us for snacks and breakfast?

My only F row to myself was BNA-DFW (while burning off some AA miles).

I don't know if I could handle seeing something like that today. Heavens knows J.Edward would likely have a seizure if he saw such a scene after stepping off the plane at IAH.

The best are the street sweeper machines that follow the elephants just in case they decide to relieve themselves between the train station and the arena.

Speaking of quality airline marketing, I had to smile when I got a special offer from Aer Lingus this morning. Good timing, but they should have waited until later in the day... :D

Unfortunately it also indicated a sign of the times: $440+ round trip this summer from JFK.
