I don't want to post this in the MR forum yet. There's a $81 EWR-LHR fare published on UA.

With a fuel dump, you can get it down to $367 all-in.

Dates? Cheapest on CO seems to be ~$470...it's possible it's a "real" fare and not a mistake??

UA forgets to asses the YQ (fuel surcharge) in certain situations...

Co doesn't have the feature to release yq

Good through 5/20 for Mon-Wed trans-atlantic flights.

I just pulled up EWR-IAD-ATL-ORD-LHR-ORD-LHR.

The routing rules on this are very loose. If you need help, PM me. :)

I'm going to have to remember that "whole plane" line. Not sure when I can use it, but I just KNOW that I can.

Make sure 'S' class is available and it's only good Mon-Wed.

I tried 3/11-3/16 and had no prob.

Wait, it lets you route through LHR on the way to LHR?

I'll be flying NRT-IAH-SEA-EWR on the 6th, too. I'll probably run in to you in IAH or in SEA.

So after our great haircut stories of yesterday I decided to actually go get a shave and a haircut this afternoon. While I'm sitting there getting my $15 haircut in walks Tim Gunn. Apparently he and I have the same barber. Some FIT student walked by, recognized him through the window and actually came inside to get a photo taken with Gunn. A completely surreal experience at many levels.

The fact that Gunn gets a $15 haircut will probably add more shame to whatever it is that CO 1E pays. :p

I was in LAS at my friends house when he turned on the news and said "holy sh!t, a plane is in the Hudson" I think we were watching F:rolleyes:X News and they were reporting it as a small regional/commuter aircraft. I went to FT, poked around the Box and had the flight number, aircraft type, and O/D in about 12 seconds. Why cant the media ever get it right??? If you don't have all the information, why speculate? I just get annoyed with the nonsense of the media.

The media can't get it right for four primary reasons:

1. They love to hear themselves talk, so speculation is king.

2. TV anchor personalities are for the most part paid for looks and not brains. (How Sue Simmons still has a job by this logic absolutely mystifies me.)

3. The news still thinks that social networking is ONLY used to lure little kids. But there's a double-edged sword here: if the mainstream news (no matter its political leanings) uses social networking, the speculation and blathering will get cut down tremendously. It would be too much of a hit to their own egos to get it right that quickly because it means less on-camera time and less blah blah blah-ing.

4. The longer they speculate and draw out a story, the more the ratings go up.

5. The majority of the American people do not care or do not know enough to believe that that Nos. 1-4 are true.

I keep getting fares between 2 and 7,000. I assume it is a multi-city on .bomb can you walk me through the flights.

No, that was my full itin there and back.

But knowing UA, i wouldn't rule out the possibility of something silly like that like the LAX-HNL-SFO-SYD-SFO-HNL-LAX routings.

My favorite line for anyone not familiar or comfortable with ERJ's is to look at the plane and tell the nervous person that the rest of the plane is on backorder. My father did that to a woman in PHL and I couldn't help but laugh.
