Not necessarily. I found out this week that I'm a few exams short of being qualified to teach in New Jersey. I'm waiting on an info packet from Ocean County to lay it all out for me. And there are actually no teaching vacancies in all of Ocean, which is a net positive because that makes short-distance relocation a good option. I'm starting to despise New Jersey, especially after having read this, but I've never lived anywhere else unless you count Basic Training and Ammo school (SAT and SPS respectively).

Thanks. We shall see - I had to take an online customer service aptitude test for a position in FLL and they haven't gotten back to me. I'm also trying to land a local spot with OpenTable. It's not bleak yet but you can see it from there.

I have applied with Delta as Gate Agent and Ramp agent online. They keep calling me and telling me congratulations I have moved on to the next round and to please take the aptitude test online. I tell them I already have taken it, 5 times, but they have no record of it :rolleyes:

I figured working part time for Delta in EWR would be great and I would travel free on Delta and this is great for an addict, but then I realized that I won’t be gold on CO so I am torn about accepting an offer from them if they ever get my aptitude test to record in their system.

Hey! Before starting another CO DO Thread I thought I ask here - is there any interest in a CO DO IV Networking thread? I'm thinking jobs wanted, jobs offered, cross introductions, meeting people from same city on purpose, etc.... I'll be happy to arrange it providing it's wanted.....

I don't think even the hell that can sometimes be face-to-face service in Atlantic City could prepare me for being a gate agent. Despite the progress of science in aviation, aviation has not become a topic that the average person is comfortable with. I dealt with a wide and none too deep Kettle pool in AC for nearly 6 years, and look what it did to me: it created an ambition to teach high school.

I can think of two people who frequent the Box that would enjoy that. If you want to start one, great.

I know it's wrong, but I have found the fallout from the program changes in the AF/KL/NW/DL Forums absolutely riveting. Soap-opera quality material over there, these days. I hope we don't experience anything similar in the future...

NorthWelta was especially stupid in rolling out (or accidentally leaking) their disastrous program changes (new Plat fees) in December/January, when many frequent flyers still have a chance to bail with minimal impact to themselves. Their refusal to put a prompt end to the persistent rumors that LUT fares will no longer be upgradeable is also a smashing example of how not to handle PR (as are the infrequent appearances by "JeffBob" on the NW/DL Forums).
