So after reading all this about the VS UC lounge in JFK and seeing pictures, I am thinking it would be worth $35 in change fees to change to JFK for the experience. I just can’t figure out which flight to take. A340-300 or Airbus A340-600?

If only there was a 747 flying that day, I would be there.

The LH one was an experience for me, I'm sure the VS one is just as cool.

They tried to change me to the A340-300 because my flight was delayed 15 mins, I said NO NO NO .

Definitely, hands down, no question, take the 346 over the 343. The 343 does not even have v:port (VS' AVOD). Also, the 343 cabin is bifurcated into a main cabin with nine rows and a mini-cabin with three rows, which would be nice, except the FA's stampede through it constantly throughout the flight in order to serve PE passengers from the UC galley. If you do get stuck on the 343, be sure to select a seat in rows 1 through 5, preferably on the K side (because the seats face the "wall," not other passengers).

Lesson learned at work today:
When stealing a patch cable from an unlabeled port on the patch panel in the server room, check to make sure it isn't really that of the boss. :o On the plus side, thanks to a Sharpie it is now labeled correctly and I got a little bit of billable time out of it. On the minus side, :td: to the guy who wired this place and didn't label anything correctly.

I thought folks would enjoy that photo. :p


Also, PDX and SEA are on co.com specials from EWR this weekend at $140 r/t. They aren't advertised anywhere, but they are pricing out. I am strongly considering nesting a pair with Bernouli 777. Further discussion in the MR forum.
