Just for the peace of mind, I think a taxi to PHL might be worth it.

As long as that SEPTA train isn't missed, you guys will all be fine. You could also theoretically miss that one and still make the flight by getting the next SEPTA 30 minutes later.

How do PHL taxi's charge? I was in MSY this weekend and the cab rate was per person not per mile. It cost $50+tip to get from MSY to the French Quarter for the 4 of us.:td:

I do not think they charge per-person, I could be wrong though.

I'm assuming the $28.60 flat rate also applies to trips to the airport and not just from the airport but 30th Street should fall in the flate rate area. It's flat rate per trip and not per person and three people max.

Is it completely wrong to give 1.5 weeks notice rather than 2?

I have one tiny outstanding item I need to finish and would rather start my new job sooner than later.

I do have to take into account that my dad currently works here in a different department and don't want this to reflect poorly on him.

If you don't have any major deadlines beyond the 1.5 weeks and you feel confident that a complete transition can be made in that time then I see no problem with it.

Congrats on accepting the new position! ^

Ding ding. Two weeks. Especially if he's senior to you and I'm assuming out of your chain.

You can official give two weeks up front and then discuss 1.5 weeks to see how it goes and then re-write stuff for 1.5 weeks before it's officially submitted. With this economy, things are different and a bunch of the old rules are out the door.

Congrats on the new position.

Also, PDX and SEA are on co.com specials from EWR this weekend at $140 r/t. They aren't advertised anywhere, but they are pricing out. I am strongly considering nesting a pair with Bernouli 777. Further discussion in the MR forum.

Ugh...first ski trip with the boy this weekend, can't cancel, otherwise I'd be up for the EWR/SEA/PDX trip. I'm going to end January with only 378 EQMs and only a reward ticket booked for Feb. MUST...book...flights...

I would love to do the PDX/SEA run this weekend but I have a feeling the girl would kill me. Not to mention I just booked three PS flights for next week.

It is sad to see me EQM balance sitting at 2,133 and we're not three weeks into the year. Need to fix that.

Are the CO weekend specials posted online? I can't seem to find them and didn't get the email about them.

If you take Amtrak NYC to DCA but do not have a connecting flight can you get miles on CO for that trip?

On this same thought process, when do yall think it is appropriate to answer where one is going (if you know that)? What if the place you are going is the competition?

That can be a touchy subject. I really depends on the company you currently work for. I worked for one company that no one would say where they were going after we found out about the nasty phone calls they'd make to people in the other company. (they wondered why they had such a high turnover problem.)
