Q about B6

I'm flying B6 for the first time Thursday. I want to know what's the etiquette with the leftover "Even More Legroom" seats? Are others allowed to move into them?

Right now, a few hours before flight, only 6 out of the 24 seats in Rows 2-5 are taken, and none of the 12 exit rows are taken.

Will they keep others out of those seats? What if I pay $10 to get one in an empty row - can I keep others out of the other two seats?

I looked around the B6 forum a bit but couldn't find anything, so I'm trying it here. :D

I've only flown B6 on the E190 which has Even More Legroom only at the exit rows. I can't fly B6 without the extra pitch so I always pony up for it. If it's only $10 each way, I would suggest paying the fee to secure the seat. It is quite nice and if you have an empty seat next to you, it will be much like first class.

OK Pain vs. cash question. Is flying into MAN less painful than flying into LHR? I've only flown into MAN domesticly and flown out international,. MAN is $55 more and the rail tickets I need are the same from both MAN and LON and the time is nearly identical (except I can catch the train at MAN instead of treking into Kings Cross)

It'll cost you ~$20-30 to get from LHR to the train station, so figure that in to your costs. After finally having flown in there last week as part of my BRU Do itinerary, I'd happyily pay a couple extra bucks to avoid it.

Last I heard over in theB6 forum the official policy is to mention to poachers that those are paid upgrade seats but not to bounce them. That was in the first couple weeks of the EML experience so I do not know how accurate it still is. Also note that they will assign EML seats for free at the airport if the LOL seats are all full and you still don't have a seat assignment. With their load up over 80% that means that a fair number of A320 EML seats are potentially freebies, or that they really are making a lot of money selling them.

If the seats are empty, take the middle seat. No one in their right mind would take the empty seats on either side of you when there are other empties on the flight.

Are B6 fliers different than WN fliers? WN fliers will plop down right next to you in the middle, even if the plane is empty.

Morning Box.

I started convulsing and :rolleyes:ing last night when it occurred to me I had no travel booked. At all. Nothing for work or even personal. There's a few vacations in the planning stages, but no airline has anything for me on the books. Probably the first time in a decade this has happened.

Thankfully I got a meeting notice for April in DC in my inbox just now. I might book it on Amtrak just to see how far this goes.

In other news, I'm putting an offer on a house today. Sooner or later one of these is going to stick.

Didn't know I was going to get crap from you... :p

Not being able to find the Marriott in BRU is where I thought the taunting would come in.
