I was talking to someone about it on friday and they said the exact same thing.
Maybe they forgot they were having a DO .

You guys didn't hear that the DO was canceled?

EDIT: I just realized that I missed my 4,000th post... :(

Congrats
Oh yeah I heard that as well from a United pilot on CH 9.

The last two UA flights that I took, the pilots turned off Channel 9. What kind of a company allows its employees to set and/or violate policy willy-nilly like that?

Guess I'm not flying CO back from mc:rolleyes: on 2/22. They are only selling whY fares. I guess I may now get a chance to try B6.

And the last 2 UA flights I took, the pilots turned on sporting events that were playoff games. ^

The policy is that the pilot can choose whether to have it on or not. Many pilots are not as a way to piss off customers so the customers will complain to management that the pilots should be treated better. They apparently also don't wear their hats for similar reasons.

All my UA flights (except the one UAEX) had channel 9 up and running. On my SAN - ORD and IAD - SAN legs, the captain even mentioned it was available in his welcome announcement.

It has been strangely quiet lately on the DO front. I would think a bunch of people are going to want to know before this upcoming weekend what the expected dress is for Saturday night so they can pack accordingly if they are on the road all of DO week.

I know I would. While I do live here; I'm travelling all that week and won't get in until Sat a.m. and will be DO packed before I leave for my trip.

The photos I've seen from in the hanger of DO II was more like casual Friday wear. DO III was the Rat Pack theme so we were requested to dress smart for Saturday. I just hate dragging around a suit and dress shoes if I don't have to especialy now that I'm using a 20" bag instead of a 22".

jrzyshawn Jan 25, 2009 10:04 pm

I hear ya. A suit for a 6'5" man with size 14 shoes does not really fit that well into a carry-on bag, but I make it work. :)

I don't think I ever want that reality of work. But a taste of homemade blueberry white chocolate chip ice cream may help.

The B fares to LAS are not available anymore :(.
Oh well, cheapest fare for me. $109 each way now.
I was looking to grab 2 tickets using the new B-up on a 752 .
