That's still not as bad as my failure to read the rental agreement rules close enough for the Budget location in SAN. Turned my $450 two week rental into a $900 two week rental at Avis. :(

I found an Italian restaurant in London that is very good and not too expensive, the owner walks around and shows you the day's fresh pasta on a cart.

Haven't been through HHH, but AEX is actually nice! Think fancy country club (incidentally, there is one right next to the airport). It's squeaky clean, with all the latest and most modern of facilities and amenities. Except there are only four gates.

Sounds a bit like ITH. Very nice new terminal (circa 1994) and clean. But only a couple jetways and the other "gates" are doors onto the field.

Speaking of Paris, should I be concerned about leaving a Macbook in a hotel room (Holiday Inn, FWIW)? I don't think there will be a safe and I don't want to carry it around the whole time, so I'm thinking of leaving it at home.

I've picked up / dropped off people there and we've wondered if they ever use those jet ways.

London restaurants. I once stumbled on a tiny, cozy Italian restaurant right next to the Russell Square tube station, to the right of the station entrance. I don't remember the name but the food was great.

I don't think that you should leave anything valuable in a hotel room or a checked bag.

I'm usually asleep by the time I fly over ITH. I'll try to stay awake next time and take a look-see... Maybe I should bring binoculars...

US used to fly mainline in there from PIT (737s, I recall) in the late 90s. I routed more than one trip via PIT for that connection so I could fly mainline rather than B1900 via PHL or Dash-8 via LGA.

I'm pretty annoyed that I have no official record of my flights from college. The ones I remember are great, but there are some ITH-PHL-CLT-GNV or ITH-PIT-JAX or GNV-ATL-ROC-SYR trips that would be fun to have on my history. I know I've taken the flights so I suppose I could load them but it feels a bit like cheating if I don't even know which year it necessarily was.

I don't think there is anything wrong with LH F, I just want to do SQ F as well.

So supposedly, CO employees will get to vote on their choice of a retro livery in honor of CO's 75th anniversary for one of the new 739ERs to be delivered later this year.

I vote for the one with the golden :rolleyes: on the tail!
