Well, looks like pretty decent gifts for the coaches.

Movie #1 is at Alamo Drafthouse where the popcorn is great and I may get dinner there as well (and at least a pint). #2 is showing at cinemark where the popcorn is fair at best.

I hate to ask what a pint of beer costs. JuJuBees are a king's ransom and popcorn is a small fortune.....in fact my snacks cost more than the movie. :D

I just went over a 1,000 posts.

YES! I remember Salt Lake has a place called Brewvies. Never got the chance to make it there, but I heard it was sort of a dump anyway. New Haven's Criterion Cinemas has a bar area in the lobby where you can order drinks for the show.
However, with the cost of a DLP projector and a blank wall, BYOB all you can drink movies are even more fun. Plus, you can pause for the increasingly frequent bathroom breaks!:D

I think Criterion in New Haven was roughly $5-6 for a beer, mostly the half-step above miller/bud, like redhook.

I don't know, but I think we should find out. ^ These are questions that deserve answers.

It looks like I'll be flying coach tomorrow.

I still find it a bit surprising:

Flight 1: 10 Platinums ahead of me on higher fares
Flight 2: 11 Platinums ahead of me on higher fares

Maybe I should get used to it.....or maybe I should just not travel on Sunday again.

Their pints range from $4.00 on up. They may even have one at $3.75. Not bad, eh? I'm sneaking in Hot Tamales because they don't sell those and BL JR has to have those. I'll try and get over the guilt :o

I think it means that I'm only good for the ice, you, on the other hand, are responsible for the booze. :D

You could probably get away with sneaking in BL JR in one of your bags!

It makes going to bad kid flicks like "Hotel for Dogs" a bit more palatable ;) They also serve wine, champagne, mimosas, marg and daqs. The food isn't bad there either.

Well today has taken its usual turn for the random. Canuck is up in Canuckland and I somehow got roped into doing a standby with the ambulance. First call of the day was a woman who slipped and fell on ice. "I didn't know it was going to be icy" she kept telling us. "It took every ounce of restraint in my body to not reply "...the name ice festival didn't tip you off?"

Next call was for an elderly gentleman who "couldn't urinate." Really? Keep drinkin' Dunkin'.

I  people.

I'd almost rather be dress shopping at an outlet mall than this. Wait. No I wouldn't.
