Took me only two minutes, then again I was in CHA. (they were the only people in line)

Be careful where you post such damning information, you may be labeled a "whiner"

Finally made it home after the layover in IAD. I forgot how long a transcon flight is, and we had light headwinds making it slightly shorter. IAD is in serious need of some updating as I counted exactly four bar/sit down restaurant establishments in all of Terminals C and D. All of them were packed and had 10+ people waiting outside for a seat. Never though that F meal would look so good.

IAD is such a dump. A few years ago, my first time there, I was walking around and had a weird feeling. After about an hour, I realized that the terminal felt like temporary trailers with the bouncy floors and small windows. Sure enough, after a bit of research, it was confirmed that the existing C/D were only supposed to be temporary.

If you have the time, I highly recommend hopping on the moon rover and going over to B. I wandered over to B for the first time last weekend on my way back from BRU and it was amazingly nice. It's sad that the hub carrier is in the dump and all the other airlines are the nice part. Go United!

UA p.s. in C was great ^
You get a portable media player , a nice meal, and the seat has a nice recline and foot rest. I was lucky to be next to a
1K so they took our order and served us first .

Same here. Have been close several times in recent years, but it seems that most of the time I'm on an oversold flight I can't accept the alternate flight arrangements. The last time I was actually able to take a bump was in May 1989!

Yep. You and I have both learned that lesson. Apparently some on here think that it was your fault CO served you a frozen salad and you should have just shut up and been happy with it. Just like some thought I should have been fine with the flight attendant that swiped half the stuff off my dinner and saved it for herself before serving me my tray.

That would be correct. Until a few days ago, he was scheduled to be at that event. His next work trip is the Chicago Auto Show in a couple of weeks. I seriously need to find out his employer's booking code with Starwood. He's got a $119/night rate at one of the W's in Chicago for that event!!

I take it you never experienced the UA Express cattle pen terminal? I believe it was labeled as G. I'll put it this way, it makes CO's EWR Terminal A operation look like a VS Clubhouse.

Freaky. I think we're on the same schedule. I'm surprised I didn't run into you at the gym, seeing as 75% of the metro Manhattan population seemed to be there. With their children.

AHHHH I hate the gym in January.
