G'night all.

I have a god awful 6am shift to work tomorrow.

I'm not the least bit shocked by that article. Nothing about L:rolleyes:isiana shocks me anymore. I've become numb to that state's constant absurdity.

Coors has always been my favorite customer. I really enjoy my visits in their manufacturing plants. It's refreshing to be treated as a partner instead of an adversary.

I have been looking at this brand as well. They seem to make very high quality bags. Thanks.

I have three Briggs & Riley bags and in general am very happy with them. My two roller bags are nearly two years old, and the smaller one that I travel with almost every week looks like it — it's in need of a good cleaning on the outside, but inside it's perfect. And nothing has ever gone through the bag and gotten to my clothes. I once watched some COEX baggage handlers drop that bag in a huge puddle after taking it off an ERJ, and it arrived at the jetway totally soaked on the outside, but completely dry inside. I've had one issue with a zipper on it, but thanks to their lifetime guarantee, which even covers airline-inflicted damage, it was repaired free of charge.

In addition to the two roller bags, I have a computer bag of theirs that's just over a year old, and it still looks brand new, inside and out. It's a heavy bag — weight is one issue I've had with their bags, as they're all pretty heavy, even when empty — but unlike all the other computer bags I've had over the years, this is the first that has made it a full 12 months without falling apart. And not only has it not fallen apart, but it still looks brand new.

As far as I'm concerned, they're worth the price. My only wish is I had gone with black instead of red on my roller bags, since the red shows every speck of dirt and grease that gets on the bag, but they have been extremely durable, and my travel habits tend to be very rough on luggage.

These are some of the best Killian's ever - a $7 rebate on a $5.99 6-pack when buying corned beef (which I was anyway).

Did you notice that there are three Days Inns on that list? Maybe Cova should be thankful that CO put him in Days Hotel instead of a Days Inn, when he had that aircraft return fiasco a few weeks ago.

Yep, you should. What time of day will you be there? I have seen Shipley's in Terminal B closing up shop early. But if you're there in the morning up through the early/mid-afternoon you should be good.

I have 2 morning layovers and 2 evening layovers, so I'll try and work it in to one of the morning layovers after a shower. Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately, it would take me about 45 minutes to get to the nearest Bolt Bus stop. :(

I clicked on the pictures for the Velda Rose Resort - that building's exterior is easily one of the ugliest non-government structures I've ever seen.

My favorite beer has always been FREE! Followed closely by cold and wet.:D
That's an even better beer. They paid you to drink it.^

I just drained my account of ThankY:rolleyes:u points :p In case you didn't know, they're removing the fixed flight option as of March 1. That takes the value/point down to 1c/ea. There's a big thread on this in the Other Credit Card Programs forum.

ssullivan Feb 26, 2009 8:35 pm

I must say, the homemade macaroni and cheese I made tonight was d@mn good.

The steak and asparagus we had with it weren't half bad either. But that mac and cheese was good stuff, and we still have 2/3 of it left. I'm going to have to write down what I did so I don't forget that recipe… I looked at a recipe online but basically improvised, and picked out some good cheeses at the local Whole Foods (yes, this wasn't cheap mac and cheese, but it wasn't extravagant either — it did have cheddar and Velveeta in it, after all).

Anyway, it was really good! And it seemed to cheer up my partner, who, after a stressful day, came home in not the best of moods.

Xyzzy Feb 26, 2009 8:38 pm

Velveeta is NOT cheese.

I'm about to go earn another 17 cents.

I redeemed down to below 325 points (had to add a gift card to do so). Perhaps Citi will figure out that I've essentially stopped using multiple cards? Doubtful.

Ever hear the song with this chorus?:

FREE BEER FREE BEER
THAT'S MY FAVORITE BRAND
IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY IT
ITS THE BEST BEER IN THE LAND
WARM FLAT FUNKY
IT DON'T MATTER TO ME
THE GREATEST BEER IN THIS WHOLE WORLD
IS THE ONE YOU BUY FOR ME

icurhere2 Feb 26, 2009 8:42 pm

I didn't know Coors was bailed out as well - I don't think you (collectively) bought this round for me, so the song's not completely appropriate :p
