You take it back! Or perhaps we should consult Steph3n; after all, a man who churns his own butter must know something about cheese.

not cheese, pasteurized processed milk product. I guess it is like the UHT of cheese, just as UHT is an abomination to the name milk, Velveeta is to a real cheese lover.

I am inclined to agree with this. Velveeta is something, however I do not think it is cheese. However, I can still be convinced the other way.

Speaking of bad beer - the worst I ever had was in early 1995. The experience was so traumatic I remembered when I had this six pack. However, I was dirt poor and couldn't waste beer. I shouldn't mock it too much given I now live in Tennessee.

Ditto. I haven't been buying cases since I started watching my wine budget, but I like to buy a case when I find something I like.

I just order by the case and hope I like it. When it is really bad I find "friends" I don't really like and bring a bottle or two to a party.

Good times tonight at Keeley's. I actually left the party early to get home so I can wake up early and pack for next week's 35K BIS miles, including NRT. And to get dinner. I hope the crew left at the bar got some wings or quesadilla or something.

I'm about to go earn another 17 cents.

I redeemed down to below 325 points. Perhaps Citi will figure out that I've essentially stopped using multiple cards.

I used the occasion to break in my new PP MC to pay the taxes :p (Why use my TY card to earn more points I won't be using?) I left a total of $12 on the table when redeeming for the two tix I now have :D :D The rep said, "Wow -- that's close" and, "Wow -- even closer!" I now have a few thousand more than your 325 points, but not enough to redeem for anything useful.

I'll gladly take a Home Depot gift card if you think your points have no use.

I don't think I have enough for one, but when the last of the points come through with a few transactions that just missed the last bill cycle, I might be able to get something like that. I'm sure the fabulous Mrs. Xyzzy would prefer I got her a card for Nordstrom or someplace like that, though.

There's one not too far from IAH When I was recently there with J.Edward he slyly got me to order way too much so he could enjoy the left overs (we ordered about 9 pounds of BBQ for 5 people)... Their creamed corn was AMAZING!

Cream corn is great, but I find the original in Leon Springs has the best!

But beer would be good before dinner :) :)

Sounds good. I had Pei Wei, better than anything in SWO but not tuna tartar!

I cannot confirm that this has happened to me... but I do know on good authority that they no longer serve Christmas Ale by the pitcher at GLBC... because bad, bad, BAD things happen when they used to. Oh, the stupid things we used to do when we were young.

Your not that old! ;)

I must say, the homemade macaroni and cheese I made tonight was d@mn good.

The steak and asparagus we had with it weren't half bad either. But that mac and cheese was good stuff, and we still have 2/3 of it left. I'm going to have to write down what I did so I don't forget that recipe… I looked at a recipe online but basically improvised, and picked out some good cheeses at the local Whole Foods (yes, this wasn't cheap mac and cheese, but it wasn't extravagant either — it did have cheddar and Velveeta in it, after all).

Anyway, it was really good! And it seemed to cheer up my partner, who, after a stressful day, came home in not the best of moods.

I will have to think of adding Mac and Cheese to the dinner menu. :)

Looks like Brodeur had a nice game - a shutout. CM should be happy.

Met him many moons over at Nassau when they were playing the Islanders and I was a player guest. Cool dude.
